Caldwell Front Shooting Bags

Anybody using these, particularly the Tack Driver? Looks like it should hold a rifle pretty steady. Opinions? Thanks.

For sight in purposes they are good. It wanting to shoot tight groups they aren’t good. If it were me I’d buy the Rock and a rear bag.

I have the tac driver bag. I filled it with rice. It's nice for plinking. I just got the rock and rear bag combo. I have not had a chance to try it out yet.

For portable purposes and having a rest bags do the job, for range work better to have a heavier more stable platform.

My barrel burned the canvas on the bag so I had to toss it. Just be careful of resting a hot barrel on it.

I now use the one in the second or bottom picture shown by Lionking.

I burned my tack driver bag. Shooting my SBH on it. Flames from the cylinder gap. Gorilla tape fixed it.

Did that for a while but eventually the bag was made entirely of Duck tape and leaked media all the time.
