Looking for target grade pistol, and need your help. We have one discipline where in 10 seconds 5 shots have to be fired, range 25 meters I tried to use my S&W 686, and managed to get fired all 5 in less than 8 seconds, but all in all, I just cannot keep up with folks using semi auto pistols.

So, I would like to have pistol with following characteristics:

- Cal. 9x19mm
- Barrel length 6", or 152mm + 1mm, would like to have stainless steel barrel
- Single stack preferred
- Would like to stay within $2500

Yeah, I am aware of SIG P210 Super Target, 6", but the best price I can find is 3300 euros.

Also, there is a company in Germany making 1911, but their prices start at 2350 euros:

Will keep looking for used pistol in a good shape, but that would be a long shot.

Anything in the USA that would come close to my wishes?

Thanks!

The words Glock and target pistol in the same sentence is laughable.

The CZ 75 long slide was not a CZ made item, it was made by an outfit in Germany. If you found one you won't even breathe on it for 2500 dollars.

Have you considered the P210 American?

The CZ TSO is also a very accurate 9mm, but slightly short of 6in and double stack.

Thanks for info about Kimber. Unfortunately, in some instances and ranges, shooters are limited to 32 to 38/9mm caliber.

Yes, I was thinking about P210 American. But all I can find on the market are 5". They are excellent pistols for the money, however, being spoiled by S&W 686, 6", would love to have pistol with 6" barrel. Bit longer barrel and more weight makes noticeable difference for me.

There is a model called the SIG P210 target that lists for $1500. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/798681544752 They looks good to me, but I have not handled one.

If striker fired pistols can meet your requirements, Canik recently released the Mete SFX which has a longer barrel and has received good reviews.

Good luck in your search, and please let us know what you find.

It's pretty tough to come up with a high-quality semi-auto that checks all of those boxes. If you're willing to buy used, you might be able to find a 6" Les Baer Premier II in 9mm for not too much more than $2,500 with some patience. Probably won't find that on GB. 1911Addicts has a very active classfieds section with all manner of high-end guns trading hands.

I know, not Single Stack, but HK USP Elite?
Some years ago I was with a friend on his club range, and was offered HK USP, for about half price of a new one. Pistol was on a mat, right side up, and looked almost like new. I asked for permission to handle it, owner gave me a nod, and when I looked at left side, I noticed piece of plastic was missing on the bottom of the grip, like this:

Also, about 35 years ago I had seen Bernardelli 7,65x17 Browning (32 ACP) (my guess pistol was made in early 70-ties), and according to owner, no more that few hundred rounds were fired. Owner removed slide from frame, to show me how to do that. From outside, frame looked fine, no wear, scratch, nick or ding. However, when I looked at rails, at least 50% rails area where white, showing slight amount of wear. Aluminum frame!!! Contrary to that, I had a chance to shoot some war time Beretta-s M34 and M35, and they had seen quite many rounds, but blueing on rails was almost 100%. Well, they have steel frame.

You can call me biased, backward-looking, stubborn, too conservative, etc, but since than, thanks, but no thanks to plastic and aluminum on main parts, and lately on MIM.

I'm a fan of the Glock 17L, but it's not really a Bullseye pistol. I consider it to be a long barrel combat pistol.
I can’t shoot Glock to save my life. So they are collector to me!

before it was cool! I put everything on the 17L and turned it into a 17XL

Shoots Great! I just shoot bad

$2500 makes it difficult.

Either up the money or reduce the barrel to 5", because you're ruling out just about every top notch pistol within your desired specs. If you want a lesser pistol, than buy one.

"10 seconds 5 shots have to be fired, range 25 meters" - if this is your main criteria then how about a S&W 52-2?

It's not a 6" 9mm, its a 5" .38 special semi auto 5 shot SAO steel frame handgun which should be in your budget. Its more than capable of competing with the best target 9mm handguns around today, great trigger, sleek action, minimal recoil. The gun was literally designed to do what your asking.

Reflecting Morgo, there is also a 952, but they're made of unobtanium.
Yeah, the 52 is a good call, as is the American P210. Fifty-twos aren't common here (long gone from production), but a P210 feels superb in the hand, has a wonderful (two stage) trigger, and even the Standard Model can be zeroed, using the drift adjustable rear, and replaceable front sights.
Remind yourself that you pick up some sight radius with an autopistol, with the rear sight above your gunhand.
