But who is “THE” Gun Nut???
Actually, just going by the number of women who have come to my wife in the last 10 or 12 years asking about concealed carry, "THE gun nut" would be my wife - not me.;)
I think I understand that though. It seems to me women are more likely to ask for advice about anything than men are, and they're much more likely to ask for advise about guns and such from other women.:)

Not very often. We are usually together when we're shopping for a big ticket item like a gun - unless the gun she's shopping for is a gift for me, or the gun I'm shopping for is a gift for her. She wasn't with me when I bought her little Ruger American Rimfire for her birthday two years ago.:)
I've told the story before on THR about my .45-110 Shiloh Sharps. My wife ordered it for me as my 25th wedding anniversary gift - 26 years ago by the way. However, Shiloh Rifle Company was two years behind on their rifle orders back then, so all I actually got on our 25th anniversary was the order form and the receipt. Two years later, for my wife's and my 27th anniversary, we took a few days vacation and drove up to Big Timber, Montana and picked up my rifle.
