So the Lot 1 RMR MPR Nukes arrived today in 147 gr. (<<<<<------ Edited, this is incorrect , see below, sorry, innocent confused brain dead mistake.)

Got a bag of Lot 3 Nukes in 124.

1000 ct of each at roughly 11 cents per, I've got plenty to work with. Going to put them through their paces. If anyone has a pet load they'd like to see worked-up with these, let me know. I've got most pistol powders and primers on hand and I'm willing to work them up and compare them to what will be my VihtaVuori loads.

The 124s I'll load hot to run out of a couple of different carbines. I wanna see what happens to them above 1250.

I've got gel ordered but it's backordered ... may start out with jugs.

If these work-out and perform as Jake promises then these will be MAJOR money savers in the self defense PD line of 9mm projectiles we have to chose from these days.

It's all about saving money while realizing maximum performance on all levels.

Gotta love the new slogan that goes with these new designs.

"Real Men Love Flowers" ... they say that is a typical expansion of both designs between 950-1250 in ballistic gel through the standardized various four layers.

We shall see.

My two loads for Remington 124gr. GSHP are 4.7gr. of Red Dot (barrel < 4") which makes around 900fps out of my Star Firestar with not too much drama and blast, and 7.0gr. of Blue Dot (barrel > 4") which makes around 1200fps out of my FEG "Hi-Power" with PLENTY of flash! :)

Both loads run every gun I've tried them in with a COAL of 1.09" using mixed range brass and are both fairly accurate at 25ft for close-range work. The Golden Saber box ammo I've looked at was seated longer but it wouldn't run in all of my guns.

If you have both powders and feel like working up some old-fashioned loads, those two have been good to me and Blue Dot is great for a carbine in 9mm.

I can't find the 147 "Nukes" on the website.....Did you have to call RMR about them...?

And those 147's in your pic don't look like the Nuke profile...........to me.
A quote from an email sent out on the 21st.
These are available in both 124 and 115 grains and will replace the original MPR. This new MPR(NUKE) is being made on a newer machine with a completely different tooling setup so we are currently working with the old machine to make a 135 grain MPR. We aren't sure if we can make a 147 on that machine though.

My gosh!

That goes to show you my mind has been out of it all weekend .... sheeesh. See https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/tragedy-struck-home-this-weekend.905001/#post-12280482 to understand.

I didn't mean to misrepresent that about the bullets ... the other HPs I am actually expecting are the XTreme 147 range fodder (just got an email saying they are on the way), then the Nuke 124s and then the RMR FMJ RN in 147s it's all confusing ... I forget he told me he had some work to do before trying to run a lot of the 147 nukes. I got things all mixed up before running out the door this morning. It's the Xtreme 147s I ordered in 147 HPs. Arrrrgh. Brain cells are dying.

My nugget has not been in the game the past couple of days. I need to get it together. Got a funeral to attend Thursday then headed to a military reunion that night and return on the 1st. Hopefully I get my dumb head cleared and my batteries recharged by a week from now. Then I'll start working up loads again ... so I don't blow my face off.

I'm in a fog right now.

Sorry guys. My bad.

Words just don’t do for times like this. Condolences and prayers. All there is.

How about: “RMR puts the metal to the petal!”
I also plan to order some of the new “nukes” from RMR, see if I can disprove the old saying “a little nukie never hurt anyone”. On gophers in Montana anyway.

I’m looking forward to getting a few k myself as I’m almost out of my preferred gold dots for carry and they look to be a good replacement. It won’t be real soon as my iPad is going out and gets replaced first, but they are next in line. If you have any be-86 to test at around 1050-1100 I’d be interested in your findings.

So sorry for the loss of a truly wonderful person, just terrible all around.

I broke down and had to order 1k of the Nukes to try out. Seem to be a great bullet at that price point! These and RMR 147 FMJ are about all I need in 9mm. Big RMR fan! The RMR FMJ bullets are the same price as Berrys plated units... and are a lot tougher and more accurate. What's not to like?!? Now, if they would come out with a cheap 220 grain FMJ for the 300 BO, I'd be all set!

Well the source of my brain hiccup and subsequent confusion just arrived. Record time for XTreme. 9-147 HPs ...

Two 500 ct boxes of these. These sure are puuuurrrrrrrdy pills.

With 1000 of these at this price we'll work up some loads and test them for performance/expansion and at the very least we'll be able to use these to bang steel hopefully. It would be a bonus if these bad boys expand at subsonic velocities.

X-Treme sure does take care about how they pack their projectiles. Almost 20 pounds worth and they came in without any problems whatsoever.

Perfect star of David HPs ....

I have a couple thousand of those, too. Bought them on sale off the internet from the bankruptcy liquidator. I load them up with 6.0gr. of HS-6 and a standard primer. They don't expand but they do mushroom - at least, that's what they do on armadillos. But they do punch a nice hole and roll the little buggers. :) I haven't chrono'd that load, BTW. It's the same one I used for the Remington Golden Saber 124gr. and that load rocks. It doesn't just expand, it turns to shrapnel (old un-bonded GS's).
