The Shift to S&W Has Begun

The trick is to have so many guns that she can't tell one from the other. Then when you bring a new one home, she won't even notice.

I’m single, nobody cares about my budget lol. Might we inquire as to: what’s being shifted away from, and why? Curious about people’s motives and what was found to work better.

In the OP he says LC9. My guess is capacity. But I’m not sure.

I would also venture to say the trigger is better on the smith and Wesson.

I can also second this notion.

My wife cares so little about guns, that they all look the same to her. If it's gun shaped, and black... I can change out the models all day and she'll still think I just own one gun.

I'd be much more interested in S&W offerings if they didn't seem to be allergic to making guns with discernible trigger resets.

Excellent. I'm glad to hear. I checked out the new 10mm and was disappointed. Not a trigger I'd enjoy.

On reading “shift” I took the OP to mean away from another brand’s line up or the consolidation of several brands into 1. It may simply be that I own a few of several make that colors my comprehension, but was believing it was more than a single purchase proposition.

Yeah, this tactic worked well for me, especially in our early years of marriage (although I already had just a little head start when we met)

Years later though, it became understood that, as long as the kids, house, groceries etc were taken care of it wasn't a big deal anymore.

You should check out the 2.0s, they are infinitely better than the original M&Ps.

My wife has seen inside my safe, and she can tell the differences. And she can count.

At least, she can tell between the ones with the "thing that goes around when you shoot it", versus the ones "you stick the thing in up the grip (not exactly her word, but this is a family friendly forum, right?), and when you shoot it, the top goes back and forth.

I had a client once ask me to prepare his last will and testament. I asked him if he thought his death was imminent. He matter-of-factly replied no, and explained he was afraid (that when he passed) his wife would sell all of his guns for what he told her he bought them for.

Bought my first S&W last year..now have 3!!

I am not an accumulator of firearms that some individuals are. I have a modest collection that is relatively small in numbers. We had differing priorities such as paying for our children's higher education as an example as opposed to funding our hobby. In the long run it was and is a better investment. That's my view point and I realize others see it differently.

I saw too many parents pay for 7 semesters of college just to have their kid drop out.
I figured my kids would take their education much more seriously if they paid their own way. My daughter earned her degree last year, and debt free too Boot.
That left me plenty of hobby funds.

Oh I’ve got 3 former mistakes just a phone call away lol. As with my firearms, they are an eclectic ensemble and I can’t seem to stop collecting them.

The relief in knowing that others don’t stop at just one is always heartwarming! That or it makes me feel like I too am making sensible choices

I've only shot two M&P's, and I only own one, but I've also handled a few others.

They're good pistols.

Those are three of the most dangerous attributes a wife can have in regards to her husband's gun collection!
