Who is shooting one and what are you shooting in it? My last gun I used 80 grains of 777 with a felt wad and 240 grain lee real on top of it and dead on. The same load and bullet is producing flyers and I can't even hit the target unless at 25 yards.

I would prefer to cast my own as I always have done, but this gun is not liking this setup right now.

I don’t shoot the Acura, but I own the Optima V2 which is very similar just a little bit less expensive.
I use Blackhorn 209 and would recommend nothing else.
I also shoot Scorpion PT gold and crush ribbed sabots from harvester.
209 primers.
110 grains and a 300 grain bullet.
You can fine tune the Blackhorn as it is powder and it is soooooo easy to clean up after shooting.
Easy to load again after shooting without having to clean - especially important for a follow up shot if necessary.
I was able to take this buck at 140ish yards this past season with my setup.

IMG_20211130_154209553.jpg I shoot an Accura. I use black horn 209, 77 grains by WEIGHT, 290 grain Barnes TEZ in the blue sabot they come with. Winchester 209 primer. I've tried the 250 grain TEZ also,it shoots the 290 more accurately.
Doe was shot at about 35 yards. Bullet entered right side right behind shoulder, exited left about 3/4 back on the body. Deer went 2 yards.

My CVA Accura shoots the Barnes Expander MZ very accurately with 777 pellets. It shot clover leaves at 75 yards with the 250 gr bullet and 2 50 grain pellets. I switched to the 300 gr bullet and 3 50 grain pellets just because I wanted "MORE POWER" and it shoots 1 - 1.5" at 100 yards. I don't take long shots with the muzzleloader, so that's good enough, but I'm probably going to switch back to the 250s and 2 pellets.

I have a Accura V1 . My best measured group was .771 , using 90gr Blackhorn 209 , cci m primers, Barnes Expander MZ sabots . One thing I will caution on , I’ve had many hang fires using Blackhorn with my rifle . It cost me a nice buck 2 year’s ago . I have done all of the things they say to do to prevent them , but it will still hangfire using Blackhorn 209 . I have never had a hangfire using Triple 7 .

I ordered sabots for .451 - .452 and a Lee 452-255-RF mold. I can cast my own bullets still and use them for 45 colt reloads also.

My elk load is the 338 grain titanium Powerbelt over 100 grains of BH209.

That said, I messed with both the 250 and 300 grain Thor totally copper bullet last year. They are promising.

Were you using the Blackhorn breech plug?

3C

No they don’t make one for first model , but I bought a modified breech plug from a shop that does work on the CVA Accura . It’s just a CVA breech plug that has the two holes enlarged .
