22lr Ammo Getting Cheaper!

Nice price considering. I cut off my buying at .9/ round, hope to see the bigger retailers come around and downward trend continue

$3.70/50, $.074/round is a somewhat decent price for that ammo, even in semi-normal times. Looks like they're charging about $19 for delivery regardless of how many boxes you order, so if you order enough you can get the delivered price down to $.09/round or so. Seems some other sites are also offering about the same deal. Good to see it back in healthier stock at a little more sane prices.

I still have some 550 Federal packs from Academy for which I paid $5.99 +Tax. It was a while ago, I think under barack but yes, it shoots just fine and has been kept dry for all this time. I take it out, a pack at a time, and put it thru my favorite .22 rimfire pistols.

I’ll buy some when it gets down to $.5 a round. If not I have plenty to hold me over. Although my son loves CCI quiets in his Henry. So might have to buy some more to keep his habit going. Until he’s old enough to get a job. Then he can buy his old man some ammo.

Norma sells it direct with "free" shipping @ $150. I got plenty at 8cpr last time Norma had it on sale. Ammo will continue to drop in price unless we get involved in a full-out war.

I bought a few boxes from Academy mid-scamdemic at $9.99 to try it out. It turned out that my CZs liked this stuff. It angers me when I think about the Academy price. I haven't been back in a long time...but don't misunderstand; I'm a capitalist, so I get it.
Academy Sports is making a killing off it if anyone is buying from them. It was $9.99 per 50 but last week it had dropped to only $7.99.

Anyone know or had dealings with this outfit? Almost sounds like a scam come on. I'd like to be wrong.
Ammoseek has 11 entities, some of them well-known, selling it for $.08/round or lower, so it's probably legit.

I’ve never paid more than 4 cents a round for .22 LR ammunition so wake me up when it halves yet once more.

Obviously you have never shot .22 benchrest...

While Norma-Tac isn't a benchrest ammo, it is some pretty good ammo for 4 bucks a box. I believe it is a notch or two above the bulk stuff that comes in a carton or bucket.

this is the best price I've seen in at least two years
Better prices on the "Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)" thread for Norma Tac-22 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...t-shipped-pricing.902560/page-4#post-12299295

good ammo too.

I just did a comparison of new lot 22LR ammunition to include Norma Tac-22 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...22lr-on-the-cheap.898035/page-2#post-12304052

50 yard groups on 1" square grid target with around 1/2" CCI SV Target groups (Which has been consistent for my modified 10/22 with factory barrel) and will continue testing after cleaning the barrel.

I shoot Norma Tac-22 in my squirrel rifles. Many squirrels have dropped with the perfect head shot. I gave up Winchester SV and CCI SV when Tac-22 proved to be more consistent. It must be said though, that many many squirrels have been killed with that ammo too. I came across a shop in Springfield. Mo about 3 years ago that was going out of business and selling their stock for just over $3. I bought 4 bricks and am still shooting it.

I think this is connected with Capital Cartridge here in Houston. The address is adjacent to Capital Cartridge. I’ve ordered fired brass from them with no issues.

I also get nice groups with both Norma Tac 22 and Aquila with my lightly modified 10-22, the lots that I’ve bought over the last year have been very consistent and I thank you for the comparison.

As to the original topic, I just got a in stock notice from Midway for mini mags at $16.29/100. My Buckmark prefers the CCI so I’m always looking to restock. This is disappointing. I would have hoped that the higher volume sellers would be able to lower their prices now that supply is on the rise.

Enjoy your very long nap. Considering what is being done to the value of our dollar I doubt we will ever see those prices again. Even if we do everyone will be so broke they can't afford 4 cent ammo.

We were at Walmart last night. The ammo shelves were full. And they had a bunch of Federal 325 count 22's where they go. And extras on the bottom of the display. They also had Reminton golden bullets too.
