My new Glock 48 MOS pistol is now complete with a Swampfox Sentinal that arrived on the brown truck today. I'm more than pleased with the set up and find it just right for my 7th decade needs, its slim, light and easy to aim with the green dot. If it manages to stop raining in Orygun,I'll zero it in and use it as my daily carry pistol.

Very nice. I've been testing a Swampfox Sentinel that came with a trade in gun, have it on my Sig P322 and am liking it.

Like it a lot! I have shot the MOS version with a WML on it and found the muzzle rise to be on par with my G19. If I ever find one in the wild, and not Blue Label, will try to pick one up.

Nice, I almost went with a similar setup but wanted the ring dot of the Holosun, and ultimately decided on the 365xl for ease of mounting (since I don’t like Glock plates and use C&H precision). Same size essentially and a great carry option, thin, light and still shoots like a compact.

Dot versus iron sights, which is quicker inside 7 yards?

For me, if I’m going for speed, I don’t bother with sights inside 7. But if I am, I find dots typically faster since I can stay target focused and don’t have to wait for a flash sight picture with my front sight. Wasn’t there at first, but putting some time in and I really don’t find irons better in about any situation (though I do insist on backups since I never fully trust electronics).

With a micro red dot, you can use the optic windows as a large ghost ring sight in necessary. Though I do find that picking up the dot is way faster than trying to line up the iron sights. Plus as noted by others, with an optic you can focus more on the target versus having to focus on lining up iron sights.

If you are new to pistol optics, it might take some times and plenty of practice to get use to using them. But once you get it figured out, an optic will be faster than iron sights. The nice thing about an optics that you do not have to have the dot perfectly centered in the window to get a good hit, as long as it was sighted in properly.
