I love my Shadow 2. Got the bushing, the trigger is 2.15# and it's smarter than I am. [ I think I've got a bit to learn with shooting this gun. Never really understood "ridding the reset" until shooting this beauty.] But the red dot, well, I'd choose green, gets me shooting better on any of my guns that have them. I'm pretty undecided on doing any slide modifications other than for a dot. If ya went through this or you just have an idea. Please by all means. Love to hear from ya.

Let’s see some photos!!!

Cajun optics cut and lighting cut my slide, plastic rod. Love it! this was before they change to Carry Optic weight rule in USPSA. Don’t shoot matches anymore so it’s my carry gun.

I get Cajun. Seems there the best source. Am I reading you that a company "Lighting" cut your slide? Or that Cajun did all the work? Yeah I get you on the weight change in the rules. Not sure I want to lighten the slide. But darn it! It sure looks awesome!

I really wanted to shoot Carry Optic USPSA with a Shadow 2 with a SRO, So I sent it out and had them do what every! I had deep pockets then… now my gun budget is $1,200 this year. And I just bought a cheap SDS 1911 for $319 and pulled out the file and Dremel polish … lol! inflation hurts

Cajun did the lighting cuts

It's a shame CZ slides are not available to purchase buy themselves easily.
Also heard rumors of PM doing compact slides in near future.

IMO I'd do the slide cuts. It removes reciprocating weight and the pistol should track better.

ooohyeah! the cuts really made the gun track better. Ugly as everything but who’s looking

I also had CGW do the slide cut for an SRO on my S2 Orange. They did a great job and I've had no issues with it over many 1000's of rounds. My favorite pistol to shoot, and I shoot it a lot!

did they put a plate on yours, I had one of the 1st SRO and they put a plate under my optic. Would love to have it lowers.

A Shadow 2 is your carry gun? Dang - you are more of a man than me, or you have a great belt! I own a Shadow 2, and it’s a heavy beast. I’ll stick to my P365. :)
Inside the Wast ban too.

I shown this a million times here

I think I might try one AIWB as well, I'm single and it will prolly get me more dates ... :what:
RedHill Tactical makes the best

It’s a Blast to carry the Shadow 2 with a SRO. The confidence that you can make a A-Zone shot over and over and over, on the move, at 25 yards! Priceless

No, direct mounted SRO. That's why I went with them over CZ Custom. I wanted the optic as low as possible, and CZC only offered red dot mounts with adpater plates.

I love shooting my S2 Orange, but would never carry it. The trigger is just too light for a carry gun, IMO. Maybe the non-Orange is safer that way?

my S2 is SA/DA not sure about the S2O. I shot my S2 enough in matches and never had a ND. I carry it with one in, hammer 1st notch, add safety on.

I'd leave the slide alone and go with a frame mount from CZC or CGW. Better balance and compatibility with dots but obviously not for carry.

The Orange is DA/SA also. The first shot, the DA one, I would not have a problem with. But IMO the follow up SA trigger pulls are so light, I think it would lend itself to ND's in a stressful defense situation. Not putting down your choice, it would just worry me personally.

It's a bullseye gun. And what a wonderful job it does! Learning to "ride the reset" with this guy is just so very enjoyable! I like the slide cuts, but I think the only reason for me to do this would be shear vanity.
