1984 Taurus PT 92AF

Great gun. Nice buy.

Those are the only Taurus guns I like. Wish I had never sold mine. $400 is a steal. I paid $429 for mine back in 97. Yes, I prefer the frame-mounted safety to the slide mounted on the Beretta. Mine was very accurate with plain-jane 115 grn FMJ. (in fact, it was more accurate than my issued M9.) Grab yourself a surplus M12 USGI holster (Bianchi UM/84) or the Safariland ALS is good, too.

I would say, "You done good." My 1991 PT-92 AFS-D (first de-cocker model) was so good, I bought another. These are great pistols. And 400 bucks? Heck, yeah, you stole it. Plus, they had the polished slides and discrete stamped roll-marks (not the big-azz laser engraved billboard).

Great pick up! My Taurus 1911 is smoother than my Colt. I would grab one of their 92s in a heartbeat, and at that price I would've probably hurt myself getting my wallet out before someone else could beat me to it.

Nice job! That's a good price. I think I paid $399 for mine NiB in 1990 or so. It has served me well for 30+ years.

My step-father-in-law has a PT99. It's a great shooter.

You truly made out with that PT92 and at that price...Yowza!

I have tried several other of Taurus's semi-autos but still think that the PT92 was the pick of the litter way back when and still is in my book!

Bought probably in the early 90s back in the day when Walmart still sold pistols. Have never had any problems and will feed anything. Not the most accurate pistol I own but acceptable accuracy. Thousands of rounds and still going.

I was half-heatedly bidding on a nice one a couple of months ago, once it topped $400 I stopped. (Tax,shipping,FFL,DOJ fees would’ve pushed it to ($550.)

Congratulations on getting one of their better guns. The mid 80s to mid 90s seemed to be when Taurus quality shined.
