What sidearm and holster combo is everyone CC? Looking to upgrade from my J frame to something easily concealable in shorts and t shirt on a fat man.

Shield Plus IWB in a either a Crossbreed Supertuck, High Noon Final Verdict. or DeSantis Softuck. OWB in either Zlogongie or Don Hume scabbard. Occasionally I'll carry my SR9c in the same holsters (yes, they fit each other perfectly!).

When pocket carrying, an LC9s in a DeSantis Nemesis.

I wear shorts, t shirt and sandals year round, except when at church. and I'm overweight (not horribly, but troublesomely).

Summer, Springfield Hellcat 9MM in Kydex IWB.

Winter carry Glock 32 .357 Sig in Kydex IWB or Springfield XDM Elite 3.8” 10MM also in a Kydex IWB.

Today, and at least the majority of other days, it’s the same old AO M1911A1.

I just noticed though I’m going to need some epoxy or maybe a new Crossbreed.

Perhaps I’ll see if I like the Alien Gear offering for the 1911 since the one I have for my Steyr has proven it’s self pretty well by this point.

Edited to add: I haven’t been a truly fat guy for quite a few years, but when I last was, I really liked my CZ82 in a standard hybrid style IWB. Good firepower, well shaped for comfy carry, and reliable. If I gained all the weight back these days I would just stick to a snub revolver in the front of the waistband and accept the lack of firepower, or perhaps I would pick up one of the new micro compacts in .30SC. If S&W does the CSX in that caliber I would think it would be just about perfect.

If needing to keep well hidden my S&W 642 airweight . Other times my CZ75 compact in a OWB holster.
Really depends on were I am and how I am dressed, today it is the 642 as to keep unoticed.

A fat guy, eh?

I think you have more options than most. If fat guy also means fat fingers then a larger pistol may be what you are after.

Sig 365, Springfield Hellcat, Ruger LC9, or Smith Shield 9 or go old school with a Glock 26, 27, 30, or 36.

I'm in FL, so shorts and shirt is everyday.
A Glock 19 or Sig 365 is easily concealed in loose untucked shirt & shorts and much preferred over a j-frame.
I carry bigger than a Glock 19 or Sig 365 so those should be easy.

I carry everything from a Kel-Tec P3AT up to a full size 1911. I have a couple of revolvers that get shown into the mix as well. I am a skinny 150 pound guy and have no problem concealing even the 1911 with a good IWB holster. Today it is my Sig P938

No matter what you carry, dress for it.

Do you wear your holster around the 3:00 position? Those hybrids like the SuperTuck are designed for wear farther back, such as in the 4:30 range for a righty.

I don’t think I've ever had an IWB that was comfy and useable at 3. I’m at 4 or 4:30 with any gun or holster combo I use other than carrying a snub in the front of the waistband.

Mostly these days a P-365 butt forward cross draw on my left side in my belt/pants, or SOB in a thin holster from Amazon, more often than not nothing in the chamber. Don’t want to hear about it. :)

jar

I like the faux ivory grips on the S&W Model 469! Occasionally I like to indulge my blued guns with the addition of faux ivory grips just because I like the way they look together.

I like the look but black on black is certainly less conspicuous so will likely stick to one of the black pair unless I'm going to a pachanga..

I wear my IWB holsters to include the SuperTuck and Crossbreed holsters at 2:30 tp 3:00 positions due to bad shoulders. I have no issues doing so.
