What is the LEAST fun gun you ever fired, one that hurt you

For me it was an 18# Thomas Bland 4 bore. Wasn't holding it correctly. Broke my collarbone. Charge was 385 grains of 1F and a 2000 gr. conical bullet. 240 ft. lbs. of recoil. A .458 in a nine pound rifle ha 70.
So far, .357 mag out of a Bond Arms derringer, and to be frank my old school 12 gauge riot gun. Actually the latter is fun, but a lot of recoil. I haven't shot the .357 out of the BA since that first session with it. With .38 it's great.

Really? They aren't that bad lol. .380 out of LCP size/weight guns is less than even .38 special out of an airweight revolver.. For sure .38 +P is way worse.

That doesn't make micro .380's "fun" per se, but they aren't horrific recoil at all compared to many guns.
I have quite a few .380s and been shooting them for over a quarter century and the LCP is without a doubt the very worst nearly unusable of the bunch. And as to handgun recoil even with a Pachy Grip Sleeve the LCP is simply without any redeeming character.

Of course I also think +P ammo is simply a smart way to pick peoples pockets.

At the risk of being labeled a little girly-man....

The Walther PPK/S I had was the most miserable thing in the world to shoot. The slide ripped two furrows in the back of my hand & tossed blood all over the place.
Pretty little gun, but, oh so miserable to shoot.
Yup. The premier slice-n-dice. But I was only considering the bottom of the barrel guns that I still have.

There have been guns I really had to work and persevere to like such as the 1911 platform but fortunately I've even found examples there I really like.

An old spring piston air rifle that didn't have an anti-beartrap mechanism built in. That thing snapped hard into the meat of one of my fingers and split that finger wide open like striking it directly with a ball peen hammer.

300 Weatherby Mag with a very hot 180gr load (stiff bolt lift) out of a custom mountain rifle. Weighed a tick under 7# per the owner. It didn't hurt but certainly got my attention. 3 rounds was all I wanted.

Don't get me wrong, I think LCP I's are junk, contrary to the fanboys. I'm just saying micro .380 recoil is overexaggerated.

Yikes!

When I was 13, a '91 Argentine Engineers Carbine tried to break mine......that wasnt fun, but it WAS educational.

Pretty much all high-power rifle stocks tend to bruise my jaw after a few magazines, so Im a big fan of cushy cheek rests.:D

Ducktown Tn Leinad (or whatever they went by that particular week) double derringer 410. The plate steel frame wasn’t very well debuted from being stamped, and the extension where the trigger pivots would violently ram the middle finger under recoil. It cut me open more than once. I tried hard to like that gun but never could. It ruined 45/410 handguns for me.

I didn't like the Remington 700 Sendero in .300 Win Mag. I thought the recoil was very sharp.

In the 1960s i traded for a Schultz and Larsen model 65 rifle in .358 Norma magnum. i fired that rifle once. Rifle had a gaudy rollover cheek piece that nearly broke this leftys cheek bone.

While selling off my firearms i got a pleasant surprise, the thing sold for big bucks.

My friend has a Contender with a pistol group and pistol barrel chambered in 450 Marlin. It is scoped for hunting and is heavy and accurate. Still only took one shot for me to say that was enough. If you didn’t have a flinch before shooting it your darn sure would after.

I am the not-recoil-sensitive type. Often shoot things pretty well that friends suck at because of recoil issues. They often sell it, but I help prove it's them, not the gun.
Never to my recollection injured. But one I found was just irredeemably unpleasant was the .50 AE Desert Eagle.
Now, I have fired plenty through Desert Eagles. Awesome design, if unreasonably giant. Such that .357 is practically like shooting a .22, and .44s are about like a very noisy 9 mm. But the .50 this guy I knew got because he was stereotypical overcompensating type, was awful.
Fired one round. Hated it in every way. Looked at my hand position and stuff, adjusted a bit. Tried again. Nope. Hate this. Safety on, put on the table.
"Go ahead, finish off the mag."
Naw, I'm done. You can shoot it some more.

One of my wife's pocket 380s had a serration pattern on the slide I didn't like. Didn't grab it right and it left a pretty good hole in my finger. Had another 380 that liked to throw brass at my eyes. Only firearm I really used safety glasses for in lieu of my regular glasses. And it would cut into the web of my hand. I don't consider myself recoil sensitive but I keep to modest power level rifles and shotguns. The brush in AL doesn't allow long range magnum level rifles to take down anemic deer.

Fired my Rossi Coach Gun with 12 gauge 3" magnums. I had yellow and green marks on my shoulder for a week.

That is how I bought my Coach gun. Guy bought it, loaded 2 3" turkey loads.
Listed for sale at a 30+% savings.

Love that gun. 3" loads are stiff. Not as bad as my 3 1/2" Rem, though.

Honorable (?) mention has to go Thompson Contender .30-30 and .45-70. Once was too much.
Had a guy show up for a goose hunt with a H&R single shot 10 ga. Couple of rounds and he was begging everybody to swap guns with him and try it. That thing would loosen your teeth.
