What is the most recent knife you bought?

Just came in, two Steel Will knives. The Gienah- longer of the two. And a Fjord with its unique thumb stub. Both look nice, open easy and have a quality feel. If you haven’t seen one, then make it a point to. Going to try to reverse the stud on the fjord since I am a lefty.
Kind of a front flipper?

Isn't that a front flipper with the stud serving as a stop more than opening?

Yes, I was going to try to move the stud to the other side. But then wing night started and the wife and I were out. Two beers and some wings later and now I’m home. Tomorrow I will. Steel Will has impressed me. It serves to open and as a stop. It opens easy using the stud. Just looked, moving it won’t work.

using the stud with your thump opens it easy. Harder to open lefty putting your thumb on the triangle of metal where the stud attaches.

This Vehement Knives Commando Classic, an homage to the Sykes-Fairbairn fighting knife and the V-42 commando dagger. Brown and black stacked leather handle, blackened brass guard, aluminum pommel, satin CPM154 blade, with my IBM M1 carbine and my Remington-Rand 1911-A1 as well as the Vehement Knives Grunt in satin 'Tigerlypse' finish CPM154 and black canvas micarta over orange liners.

I picked up this Rigid USA and sheath at an recent auction for $10, without knowing too much about them at the time. Hefty knife, unfortunately someone customized one of the handle scales at some point in the past.

I remember seeing one of those at knife store many years ago. What a massive chunk of steel it was! In my more youthful wanderings I did manage to pick up a Rigid Apache folder. A very solid and sturdy knife it locked up tightly and was very light due to the fact that there was no metal liners to the knife. The two scales were made from some sort of lightweight material (Zytel?) then pinned together. It was my EDC for many years as it so easy and comfortable to carry in your pocket.

Are you doing this?

I watched the video and tried it. Yes I can now get it open with both hands. It isn't fast, but it works. I don't need fast. I need works and don't cut myself. That works. Thanks HSO.

I picked up a new Schrade Sharpfinger at Fleet Farm for 7.95 probably should have gotten 2 more .I already have one in my kit , a inexpensive spare is nice to have , and they would make an OK gift

Lionsteel Mini. I was impressed with the fit and finish on my Spyopera so I poked around at Lionsteel’s offerings and saw this little guy. D2 steel. I’m curious to see how their heat treat of D2 performs. It’s a small gents knife in olivewood with titanium bolsters. I included a pic of it next to a Delica to see how small it is.
