What is the most recent knife you bought?

Lionsteel Mini. I was impressed with the fit and finish on my Spyopera so I poked around at Lionsteel’s offerings and saw this little guy. D2 steel. I’m curious to see how their heat treat of D2 performs. It’s a small gents knife in olivewood with titanium bolsters. I included a pic of it next to a Delica to see how small it is.

If you don't mind, I'd like to know your impressions of that Lionsteel. Several of their knives have caught my interest.

The fit and finish is great. It’s tip down only but that works for right rear pocket carry for me.

I will report back after I’ve had a chance to use it for a few weeks. I plan to sharpen it up this evening.

Lionsteel did the production on my Spyopera and that knife is fantastic

I really like it. Lionsteel makes quality knives for sure. I do have to say to me it seems small enough to be better off without a clip. Gentlemen do not clip knives to their trouser pockets.

New knife hat trick! Three days in a row, Day 2! Got a grail coming in tomorrow, and finally fixed the fact that I don't have a pocket knife (weird, I know, but for a bit there I thought I could get by with just fixed blades, and I really found that the 3-4" pocket folder is a requirement.

An inexpensive Boker Plus Intention II. It's a decent automatic with a D2 blade. Not recommended due to poorly designed pocket clip that leaves far too much of the knife riding outside the pocket.

Mine opened in my pocket the second time I carried it. It ruined a new pair of shorts and, luckily, I didn't get cut or ruin my car seat, any furniture, etc. I hate using the "safety" button on an auto, but I guess you need to with this one.

I'm really hoping someone will come out with an aftermarket deep carry clip for this knife!

Nobody has ever accused me of being a gentleman! How dare you sir!

I love that Wharncliffe edge! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one where the blade ends so abruptly. Very neat design. Can you thumb and spydie flick it with the rectangular cutout?

It's 90% of the way to a cleaver blade more than a Wharncliffe, really. It would be Spydie-flickable by most people judging by the videos everyone else who owns one posts, but I've never mastered the technique. There is a flipperless variant for those who exclusively prefer the Spydie flick.

Just got it yesterday, haven't played with it yet. Bringing it to work with me as another guy I work with is into knives also.

When I texted him the pic, I think he was more excited than I was!:D

So I told him that I would bring it so he check it out.
