CZ P10 C

It has been about four-five years since I rented one at Shoot Point Blank in Memphis.

My awareness of trigger reset and some other details is not very refined. And being a Lefty, I never expected gun controls to cater to me. Adjusting to them has always been quite normal, even the mag heel release on a Makarov (my first carry gun).

But shooting a bit with both the P-10C and the Walther PPQ that night, I liked them equally. Very nice ergos.

However- my handguns are all DA/SA with hammers,
----Except the Walther P99 AS, which is DA/SA even though it is Striker-fired.

I am quite fond of the P-10 series. I carry a first gen P-10C, love it. I never wanted a striker fired pistol before, but when I found the P-10 series I really liked them, have a few now. Heck, even my son carries a P-10S!
I've done a few videos on the P-10 series pistols. Good solid guns.

It's my favorite modern handgun.

If I could only have one polymer striker 9mm... Scratch that... Only one handgun of any category... It would be my CZ P10c.

Ergos are there, trigger is there, quality is there, aftermarket is decent.

I carry mine often even for "woods carry" with Buffalo Bore because I can shoot it so much better than anything else.

I had one for a little while. Its basically a Glock knock off that doesnt quite match up.

Mine came with a threaded barrel and suppressor sights mounted. I dont now if they addressed by now or not, but if you mounted a suppressor, the gun went from being reliable to a single shot, and that lasted for about 200 rounds or so, until things started to wear in. After that, it still wasnt 100% with the suppressor on the gun, but it got better. Without the suppressor, it ran fine. I think the bevel on the barrel at the lock-up to the slide was a bit off and needs to be tweaked a bit. The added weight of the suppressor was just adding leverage in a bad way to the lock up and the gun had trouble unlocking when fired. If you compare the barrel hood angle to a Glock, the difference is noticeable, and you can easily see the difference.

The trigger was something else that wasnt quite right. It wasnt bad or overly heavy, its just... mush, and felt kind of weird. Nothing you cant get over, but something you'd probably like to.

I'm a CZ loyal customer for more than 35 years or so, the CZ P10C hit in the right places when comparing other brands good ergonomics, triggers and reliability so far. Is there any other better? provably, taste is always subjective.
The CZ P10C don't fail me, and its accuracy keeps me smiling when I see the poor target paper punched on the right place.

My P10C is the gun I intend to carry when my Maryland Wear and Carry license application is approved. I used it in my W&C range qualification test scoring 117 of 125 (93%) using Winchester white box 115 grain ammo.

I have put in several Cajun Gun Works components since I bought it in 2018. The most significant change was the CGW Short Reset Trigger - the OEM trigger trigger reset was a tad too long and the trigger shape was too narrow as well.

I replaced the original CZ sights with a set of Dawson Precision fiber optic sights (I'm old).

I also added a set of rubber Talon grips as I found the polymer grips too slippery when my hands got sweaty.

Compared to the Glock M23 I used to carry in Pennsylvania, I consider the CZ P10-C is several steps above it in ergonomics and 'shootability'.

I bought one shortly after they came out. Honestly, it didn't do anything better than the P07 I had, and I shot the P07 ever so slightly better, so, the P10c went away. I'll have to give them another look-see.
