New Rule for Shipping

I received a rifle today from one of my distributors and had to show ID. After over a 1000 guns shipped and received I now have to show my driver's license which gets scanned. Driver said that it is a new rule. Guess I'll have to wear clothes and carry ID from now on.

Im thinking if I’m delivering a rifle and a naked guy answers the door, I’m asking for an ID too! LOL!

I recently, about 1 month ago, had sent in a gun for warranty work. When it was shipped back, by Fedex, it required and adult signature. My wife missed the 1st delivery try. So I signed up on Fedex site, to have them hold it and I would pick it up after work. The site wouldn't allow me to have it held, even though the shipping center was a half mile away from my work. Fortunately, my wife was there on the 2nd try. Be they didn't require her to show ID at that time.

My wife and I were both at work when FedEx brought a package with 209's in it and they wouldn't leave it. I signed up for that junk website to try and get them to reschedule for Monday after 3 and the reschedule button doesn't work. They gonna try again today while my wife and I are at work again... This sucks

Contact FedEx headquarters just to make sure the driver wasn't mistaken........ or lying......

I can relate to your situation. Unless it has changed, haz-mat orders shipped by UPS haven't needed a signature. Only when I received through FedEx.

Last year when the last "stimulant" bill passed, in it was buried about e-cig products being restricted. And the USPS quit shipping them all together. Now UPS and FedEx require an adult signature.

At least I can still vote if I forget my id.

But, in their defense, it’s been on their website for awhile now that effective June 28th, ID would be required for adult signatures. Guns, ammo, primers, powders….

Really? I've had vapes sent in the mail since then and they just drop them off. My wife got off work early just in time to catch the Fed ex guy today. I have an understanding with one of my Fed ex guys and most of them will just leave stuff but primers or percussion caps both come in a box marked "explosives" so I think it makes some of them nervous about leaving it in attended. I've had them leave 5lbs of bird shot sitting on top of my mail box and they've put 1000 no 11 caps in my box before without asking for a signature even though it was required. The Fed ex facility is about a quarter mile from my house so I can pick stuff up if I have too

They have yet to ask for my id. I've had one guy ask me my name. I've had one guy make a comment about "I wanted to hand this too you personally... I've never delt with explosives" I bet he thought it was a bunch of TNT or something ha ha ha

Not to sidetrack the thread,
Why can’t you ship to me anymore?
The government made it illegal to ship any vape products using USPS, which was our primary method for shipping. Unfortunately, our other carrier options may not be able to deliver to your address. We are actively working to expand our serviceable zip codes in the coming weeks and months. If we are unable to ship to you currently, please consider signing up for our newsletter for the latest on our shipping coverage updates. By signing up, as soon as shipping to your location becomes available, you will receive an email promotion.
This is from Madvape out of N.C.

Back on topic, sorta. Every bill congress pass, is always some pet language for agreement(s) of a yea vote.

I had two bricks of CCI 450s delivered by FedEx. Hazmat required a signature. First attempt neither my wife nor I was home. Next day I was home, and the driver set the box in front of the door, rang the bell, and ran for his truck. Truck was moving by the time I got to the door. Shortly thereafter I got an email notification that the package had been delivered and signed for by me. Delivered, yes; signed for? Not. They don’t always follow their own rules.
