My #1 grandson is a jinx sometimes

We got together at our local gunclub on a very early Sunday morning two weeks ago to shoot pistols. I purchased a Sar B-6 sometime ago for a range toy, did the spring conversion, and found I had a very nice 9mm for not much money so I took it along and asked him to try it out and see what he thought. After he shot it he said it pinched his trigger finger. I told him it had never pinched mine so I didn't know what his problem was. Of course when I shot it, it pinched my trigger finger. I told him it was all his fault. Of course he denied it.

Now I have to determine why it did it. I have a pretty good idea and since it's a polymer lower a small half round file should solve the problem and not be very noticeable.

At least one of the handguns I shoot is going to pinch my trigger finger at least a bit.

Both of us have identical sized hands. Medium by the American size chart. Since US made gloves are scarce we buy large and sometimes those are a little tight. Oh, for the good old days when you knew what size would fit without trying anything on

Behind the trigger. I think it wasn't paying attention to finger placement. I am going to do a little more shooting before I take a file to anything. Sometimes I let my finger slip around too far on certain guns.

And if your finger IS behind the trigger, how does the trigger get pulled back far enough to allow pinching?

OK, let's try this. The pinch was on the part of my finger that lies along side the trigger and it felt like it was pinched between the trigger and frame. Clear now? Finger behind the trigger?

You still don't see the picture. My finger is not wrapped around the trigger and getting behind it. I am right handed. The pinch is on the lower part of my finger, the joint against my hand, like the trigger is catching it between it and the frame as it recoils.

No need. He is 37 years old, works out regularly, and still wears the same size clothes he wore when he graduated high school. He isn't large but is solid muscle. I can't teach him a thing about being tough. He played linebacker in school and opposing coaches had no love at all for him and neither did quarterbacks.

As to hand size, ours are identical and according to the American hand sizing chart are medium in size. We will get it figuered out.
