Still none available here in the Northeast of PA that I know of. I can't believe this gun is so hard to get. I want to spend my money and can't.
I'm very surprised Springfield has done this. Kel-Tec is known to hype a new gun but can't get them to the stores but I never expected Springfield to do it. I want this gun but the longer it takes the more I'm turning against the company and might not buy their products in the future.

No confirmed today it is a parts issue. They don't have the parts. Could not tell me what part is the issue but that is why my SA-35 has now been at SA for 5 weeks. I am willing to bet it is the slide because the machining on the extractor channel was not dont properly.

I did here there was a problem with the extractor channel from several different sources. I'm now guessing it might just be true. I hope they get it worked out soon, I'm losing hope.
I'm wondering why all the tests and reviews done on TV didn't experience any problems. The SA-35 seemed to perform flawlessly. Maybe the company went over the test guns and made sure they were perfect, fixing any problems found before they sent them to the testers.

I think the guns that go to testers are looked over more than the avg one. I think there is a issue with the order of operation when it comes to milling the slide. It is total speculation but believe that they are milling the extractor channel and then the slide serrations. There are burrs left in the channel or even worse the channel is deformed. It could be the channel is not cut properly from jump.
Some also believe that the extractor is not properly hardened which is something that was seen on the Tisas clones which were around in 20219-2020. The other point of failure for the extractor is the spring. It could have also been a bad batch. Look at this pic of the extractor. You can see the chatter and the improper wear on the extractor. You can almost see the serrations. I replaced the SA extractor with a brand new FN OEM extractor and it also failed telling me it is something wrong with the channel. I would not surprise me that the delay is that they do not have a replacement slide.

Yesterday, I stopped in at my lgs and, as I've been doing for the past several months, inquired about the estimated eta of the Springfield SA-35 pistol. The clerk confided that the shop has had three but all of them have been returned to the factory to remedy functioning issues. "Teething" problems or something more serious?
I don't know if I got a good one or if 1,000 rounds is enough to wear things enough to cause problems,but so far mine has been solid.The only problem it has is that it doesn't want anything to do with cast bullets.I usually shoot either the Hornady HAP or the XTP,both in 115 grain weight.Light loads with the HAP are just crazy accurate and a joy to shoot.It's one of those guns that just fit,and it almost feels alive in my hands.I was torn between the SA-35 and the Sig P210,but I went with the 35 because it's a little smaller in the grip area and it's a double stack.I don't regret the decision.The store I got mine from is yet to have gotten another one,so they must be scarce.

WVRJ, I haven't tried reloads or cast bullets, etc., but otherwise, my experience with the SA-35 is similar to yours. I think I must have about 700 flawless rounds through mine now, using 9 different types of factory ammo. Just no issues so far.
