WSF

Not out yet, but am down to 2lb, so I thought I would order some only to discover there doesn't seem to be any about.:(
I normally try to order primers and powder together so only on hazmat charge but unlikely that will be possible given the way things are now.....

Keep looking. I’ve seen it recently, maybe Brownells?

I was using it for heavy 1 1/8 12 gauge loads. Like you, I got down to 2 lbs and stopped, saving it for 1 1/4 oz hunting loads.

I'm afraid that WSF is not on Hodgdon's priority list, but I found use for this powder during the 08 shortage. With limited data not many people use it, I found that it works very well for .44 spl. and 45 acp. For me WSF is a Unique replacement. It does pretty well in 9x19 but I prefer Be-86 in the 124gr bullet range.

Last time I went to Cabela's they "had" 2 8# jugs of WSF one for me and one for my wife. Haven't seen any since.
I use it in both 20 and 12 gauge.
Have heard it's what Winchester uses in AA's in 20 gauge.

I checked both Sportsman's Warehouse and North40 the other day, and they had nothing. CFE Pistol should be close to WSF, if you have it. I haven't done a lot of WSF loads, but I'll check my load data to see if any other powder is close.

What is the load that you are using?

I have a couple lbs of CFE-P that's a couple years old, may burn it up.
IME, CFE Pistol is slightly slower burning than WSF and not as flexible as WSF at lighter powder charges but capable of accurate loads. I think BE-86 and Power Pistol are closer to WSF.

These are other comparable powders to WSF as BE-86/Power Pistol may be just as unobtanium as WSF (Many like Ramshot Silhouette) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-under-different-labels.890893/#post-12318114

I’m a Silhouette fan. But I saw Power Pistol either yesterday or today. Probably Midsouth or Brownells.

I have Universal, CFE-P, HP38,a little Shilouette, some Sport Pistol and a tiny dab of N330, was just hunting for WSF.
I forgot ammo seek, brain fart.

In 9mm it seems that CFE Pistol is acting like a faster powder than Power Pistol. Here are some of my data for comparison. I don't have a direct comparison between WSF and CFE Pistol, but CFE Pistol seems slower than WSF, but faster than BE86 and Power Pistol.
