Pictures of non game animals

That's me as a kid in the U.P. of Michigan. That's not a dog. It's not a game animal because it's too young.

I'm sure this situation would break a lot of laws today -- maybe it did even then. I'm not advocating the actions depicted, etc. etc. etc.
Where in the UP? I grew up near Baraga.

We lived in Chassell, Houghton County. I don't remember exactly where the picture was taken. My dad was from near Calumet, so it could have been up there somewhere.
I went to middle school there. In the early 2000s. It was the only school around that said the pledge of allegiance every morning.

Not sure if I posted this one here before. Both non game animals. One of my chickens and a hawk…

The easy way is always the easy way, if I was a hawk…. At least they only have a 21 day gestation period and hawks nab the little ones first, not the egg layers.

Very cool eagle pix. I see them pretty regular along the south shore of Lake Ontario but rarely get close enough for good photos when I have my good camera in hand. But once in a while it's just a case of being in the right place at the right time with the right gear. Got this one along the lakeshore back in May a couple years ago.

Drove out to the Wood County Rifle Range today and had to stop and take a picture of a white deer. They are common in Central Wisconsin View attachment 1120798 I actually had the area DNR Biologist ask me if I see them frequently. They are protected in the state.
There is a brown deer in the picture also.
Sounds like the government. Protect the genetic mutations that aren't best for survival.

My conversation with the Biologist was interesting.
She was very open minded. I think that she received a lot of complaints from hunters that they see more white deer than brown ones. They did lift the restriction in 2008 in the CWD zone as the goal was to bring the deer population down to eliminate CWD.

To change the law making white deer fair game would take an act of congress (politics).
