Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)

Bought a mini brick of Federal AutoMatch 40gr (325 rounds) at my local wal mart for $21.30. They had an entire shelf full of the stuff. If my math is correct that is $32.77/500 or 6.55 cents per round.

And the stuff is VERY accurate and have no issues, Been blowing thru 1-2 boxes a week. Love the stuff. And I don't have to pay for shipping.

And price broke below $35/500 shipped!

Nice! And significant trend I am seeing is that current "lowest priced" 22LR of $33-$35/500 shipped are not being sold out right away and still "in stock" after several days, all of them, which tells me the buying pressure demand is not outstripping the supply. Very good trend.

This means prices will likely continue to fall ... Perhaps we may trend down towards $30/500 before too long ... :)

I think we may be testing $30/500 shipped before too long.
This is my “Buy in Level” for 40 grain lead Aquila. I have a bit to wait yet, but poor single dads are also patient, by necessity.

I do splurge and buy CCI SV direct when I feel upgradey, but now TargetSports saves me there!:)
Finally some vendors can start making money, or at the least, not have customers wanting and wishing.

I’m with you on the $30/500 for the aguila.

I'm thinking the same thing, although I may let the price sit there for a bit before I jump. I'm crossing my fingers for 5 cents a round, but if 6 cents a round is where it stays then I can certainly live with it. I can hardly wait to start buying cases again!

I bought 1500 rounds of Norma Tac-22 for 3.99 each + taxes.
Then they had an offer to get 50 rounds of 115g 9mm + a box of Tac-22 for 16.99.
Each time I bought enough to get free shipping.

I'm hoping things are getting better, I suspect so many people are trying to feed their family and get gas to go to work that they don't have a lot of ammo money to drive demand any longer.

Sitting in a sealed container are 4 bricks (500 rd.) of Winchester Wildcat 40 gr. LRN that I bought in the late 90s for $9.99 (i.e. $0.02/rd.).
As you can see, I don't get to shoot much but that is the reference ($0.02/rd.) I use for current prices. Several years ago, I was lucky enough to get several Winchester bulk boxes (222 rd., 333 rd., and 555 rd.) when first a Gander Mt. opened then about 2 years later, Academy opened as well. IIRC, the prices I paid made the rounds cost about 4-5 cents each, depending on the quantity.

not really a further drop in Walmart prices but the 22lr shelf was full , predominantly fed automatch at $21.16 but also with cci sv and winchester in the red 100 rd plastic boxes and the overpriced winchester in the yellow boxes.
MORE IMPORTANTLY.... they dropped the 3 box rule. The sales person said i could purchase as much as i want. knowing it is there, i bought only 2 boxes. i need to check it more often to see if the price drops.
i wish walmart carried aguila ammo.

anybody ever wonder what happened to the hijacked semis full of aguila ammo last yr? it was quickly pointed out that it wasn't a significant caliber but only 22 lr and less useful to criminals. turns out about a million of the 7 million rds included 40 cal, 45acp, 38 spc and 7.62.

Stopped at my local Wal-Mart today after seeing this message. Sure enough, they were well stocked with Federal AutoMatch 40gr for $21.16 a box. Bought several boxes. After tax, came to $0.696 per round.

They had plenty of other 22LR in stock as well, but still doing 3 box per customer per day.

That's what i been doing, 3 boxes a week and only shooting one.

I've been wanting to try some brands that I haven't tried before, but didn't want to have to buy in large quantities or pay exorbitant shipping. I finally got a chance to go to a Scheels today and, although I didn't find any primers or much powder, I did find a GREAT variety of .22LR. I ended up with a small quantity of Lapua, SK, Norma and Eley. Now, if I find that my rifles like one or more of those, I can buy in volume online and get better pricing!! :D

Getting closer to my magic number! I’m wanting the boxed not bulk super extra. Shoots great from my 10/22
Same here ... Aguila 40 gr LRN (1/2"-3/4") and CPRN (3/4"-1") boxed have produced smaller groups at 50 yards than loose bulk (1"-1.25") groups with my 10/22 -

And $35/500 shipped is pretty good price for Aguila boxed 40 gr CPRN.
