Lot's of yada about grips. Kinda like a '67 Corvette split window with whitewalls. Keep 'em, toss 'em, replace 'em ... it's STILL a Gold Cup underneath. Probably the greatest 1911s I ever had, and ran major in IPSC matches without a complaint.

Because of Rule #1 - you never sell a gun . . .
yeah grips are an easy fix two minutes max and I like my Springfield 1911 so I will keep her hate to admit it but the colt is much nicer looking , the old Springfield has some tooling marks on it and nowhere as nice a bluing . and having a spare never hurts. if it ever quits raining i want to take both of them out and do a side by side comparison and see which one is better
