Got a chance to shoot a Glock 48…

I gifted a Glock 17 once but never bought a Glock for myself. LGS has the Model 48 Black for $390 with Homeland Security discount for which I qualify. So that would be for me right around $425 out the door. Seems like a decent deal. Should I....?

Yes you should.

Brownells currently has the Shield mags (15 round/flush fit) for the Glock 48 for 37.99 with LEO discount.

Yes. I don't even particularly like the G48, but at that price? Yes.

The 43x/48 have a great fell to them. No doubt about it.

Only Glock I had to swap out the trigger on is my G42, my EDC. I went with the Over Watch trigger and it’s a really good trigger. OEM trigger bar and their trigger shoe. Would put one in a G 43x/48, if I owned one, without thinking twice about it.

My 43X MOS was $405.00 plus DROS (State reg fee), sales tax, etc. $425.00 OTD isn’t bad at all .

Stay safe.

Being heavily invested in Glock 19's and Glock 26's, I really tried to resist the G43X/G48 for as long as I could.

Picked up a Glock 43X last year and it has replaced my other Glocks. I shoot just as accurately with it and it conceals nicely. I added night sights did the Shield Mag conversion. I wish there were some greater than 15rd Shield mags available for it.

I have a 48 and her smaller sister the 43X, I love them both! My son has the 48 now and I kept the 43X. Both are good shooters, and I kept the 43X as my edc pistol and will be trying to find the best way to CCW.

I put a previously mentioned Shield Arms Mag release and 5, 15 round mags for the 48 and they work great! I kept the 43X with the Glock 10 round mags to keep the weight down.

I had my 43X out today and should cross the 6000 round line in the next month or so. Not a hitch or bobble to date. I plan to do an extensive rebuild after 10,000. Anyone hit that yet? Any excessive wear at that round count?
