yesterday i picked up a new Naa mini relver in 22lr and man this thing is super light and fun to shoot as i took some shorts which i really liked shooting plus some long rifle ammo like Cci mini mags and aguila super extra and some bulk cheap stuff from wally world lol. but this pistol surprised me with it's 1 1/8th inch barrel as i shot some up to 40yrds and i can hit a man sized target with it but i shot it so much i had to let it cool down as it got really hot but after a brief cool down i just started shooting it again as i find this little pistol is alot of fun! so anyone else have one and your thoughts about this baby pistol?

Have the same model from a couple decades back. It was my "always" with me gun until Kel-Tec hit with the .32 of theirs. I never have been able to hit with it at distance further than a few feet. Even though it is seldom carried I just never have been able to bring myself to part with it. Many have tried to buy it. The damn things are VERY well made.

Still have mine, carried it in my shirt pocket while a LEO.........last ditch eyeball gun that you can h ide in a cigarette pack. Believe it or not I actually killed (finished off) a deer with mine.......buddy was sitting on a downed spike buck that'd sorta came back to life and one round behind the ear did the deed........................convinced me of their value!!

I had a 1 5/8 inch 22LR/Mag model. It was a deep Bug and fun to shoot. For grins, I shot the old, original TX CHL test with it and scored about 230 out of 250 points. So you can hit a target with . Now the 22 Mag was one of the loudest guns ever, I shot it in an indoor range between two dividers. I thought I blew up!

I have a 22S version, it is very cute. Can't hit anything with it at a distance. Both guns keyhole - a known effect.

As far as SD utility - there are plenty of stories of them working for that. Two old geezers, one with a NAA and the other with a 22 derringer, shot a drove off a shotgun carrying bad gun in a Florida restaurant.

You may remember during the BLM marches some old coot waving a PUG at marchers with ARs. It was claimed he drove them away - not really - I think they were bemused. One guy started to rack his AR, so if Gramps popped off - that would have been bad. Gramp's female companion dragged him into the restaurant.

Sadly, there is a well known story of a big fat guy who got into a gun fight with a LEO. Bad guy absorbed several 357 rounds and killed the trooper with an NAA.

Last, you can find if you want - pictures of NAAs stuck into various orifices or under fat rolls of morbidly obese to be smuggled into jails.

Hmmm, and I was going to write off the NAA mini after my bad experience with another tiny gun (Seacamp) but this thread is encouraging. One question, can you safely carry it with a live round under the hammer?

I like the NAA with larger grip that folds to partly holster the gun.

The NAA Mini is carried fully loaded with the hammer fully down on a safety notch between the chambers like a Remington 1858 New Army pattern.

I love my little NAA 22 Short! It's my front shirt pocket gun, AKA my pocket protector. I've got over 1,000 rounds through it thus far, and even popped a balloon at 100 yards with it! I won't mention how many tries that took... lol.

I posted the results of some ballistic testing I did with it here: https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...esting-the-naa-22-short-mini-revolver.888665/

iv'e been wanting one of those for a long time but are hard to get for some reason!

I've been watching for one of the breaktop or side swing out models but haven't seen any for sale around here or on line. Probably wouldn't get anyway given the state of NYS horror carry show.

I always kind of considered them a joke/novelty, until I got my first in a trade a couple of years back. Now I have three, all 22mag versions.

Been carrying one in my back pocket behind my wallet for a while now in a Desantis pocket holster. Works pretty good too. Still a novelty, and more to screw with my buddies than anything serious, but, it'll work in a pinch. :)

Once you figure out how to aim with them, they are actually pretty accurate. My PUG has "Big Dots" on them, and is aimed like you'd expect. The other two just have a blade type front sight, and you dont want to try and aim it like you normally would. Just use the blade for windage and sight along the top strap of the the gun. If you do that, youll get good hits, and farther out than you might think.

This was shot at around 5 yards in just that manner.

This one was shot at around the same distance, but as fast as I could thumb them off...

Mine came with a number of different grips, some on the guns, some off, mostly small, wood and plastic, and one came with the pocket folder. The pocket folder works, but its big and bulky.

The one I came to like the best, pretty much instantly too, was the Houge rubber grip that came with the PUG. I put one on each of the others too. Its small enough to be small, but its fat enough in the right places to give a very good and comfortable grip and makes shooting the guns very easy.

The only time Ive had any issues with ammo, was with this box of Remingtons that came with one of the guns. Figured I shoot it up in practice and found this...

Even keyholing, they still shot fairly well. :)

Havent run across that with any of the others either. The Remington also miked small when I measured them, barely making 0.220, and some miked that on the case, and not the bullet. All the others were right around 0.223.

And of course, for the older crowd that grew up with Matty Mattel. Gotta have one of these to annoy the antigun inlaws at Christmas. :p

I bought one of these with the dual cylinders .22LR and .22 Magnum. Took it out back and fired a cylinder of .22LR and thought it was interesting. Put in the magnum cylinder and was shocked at the difference. The sheer noise would make someone run. I would not want to be on the downhill side of a Hornady FTX. I carry it when I am in gym shorts or biking shorts. My son calls it my pimp pistol:)

did yours come with those grips or did you buy them to install on your gun?

They are aftermarket; that’s how it got called the pimp pistol. I’ve seem some nice stag ones for these little pistols that look good, but they are overpriced for my mind. Actually, for the magnum, the rubber grip shown in the thread is a good one. The magnum rolls a bit. I bought smooth grips so as not to hang in my pocket.

Walkalong, I really like those grips. Mine came with laminate grips of which I’m not terribly fond. That’s why I replaced mine. If it had those like yours, I would have left it alone.
