Question about Sar B6C Magazine

Hello everyone, hope all is well. I was looking for some input on something I've been working with for a while now and am unsure of what to do about it. I have a Sar USA B6C 9mm with a 13+1 capacity and have been having trouble with the magazines.

The problem is when you chamber a round, another round will strip off along with the round that is chambered. This results in the first round being chambered like normal, but another round will be sitting behind it and essentially sitting on top of the magazine so when you release the magazine the round will fall out. I was unsure of what could be causing the issue, other than the rounds possibly not being seated all the way back into the magazine while loading it. But, I've checked this and have carefully loaded the magazine (ensuring that all the rounds are fully seated back before loading the next one) and the issue has still persisted. To me, it looks as though the magazine is pressing the rounds too far forward when the round above it is stripped off.

It's one of my favorite guns and would like to get this problem figured out. Any help would be a big help. Thanks in advance.

I have a B6 and the similar CM9 G2 and I tried and couldn't see any way your problem could happen in my guns. I put dummy rounds in them both without really making sure they were all the way back and cycled the slide and had no issues. Maybe it's a compact sized thing? Are you using the factory mags? You might want to contact SAR about this.

My apologies for the late response, I had almost forgotten about posting this question. I am using the factory magazines, and have even ordered and tested a new OEM magazine (and dummy rounds as well) but have been having the same issue. Because of this, I'm now thinking that the issue is with the gun itself rather than the magazines. However, I'm unsure of what could be causing it. I have contacted SAR USA (Sarsilmaz) about this but the warranty has already expired so they couldn't assist me.

My first thought was a weak mag spring. Does the problem happen with all your mags?

Hmm, they don't have a service dept that you could pay for service? IMHO, a gun that gets fixed is worth more than one that doesn't work. I thought after I posted that maybe you had the wrong magazine, but that wasn't the case. I bought a used Tanfoglio "TA90" years ago that was sent with a magazine that was obviously not the right one. As soon as I tried to remove it, I realized it wasn't locked in. I had other mags, so the oddball one has been sitting in my parts drawer with a sticker on it that has only a "?" on it for about 16 years. There are no visible model numbers on it anywhere, except it says "9mm" on one side. Someone told me it was for a Star of some type, but I have no idea what made him say that.

Anyway, good luck, maybe a local gunsmith could look at it...

I'm going to look for it, as soon as I can get to that stuff, my closet is blocked from the other stuff in the room. Right now, my left hip is waiting to be replaced and moving stuff is not on my "no problem" list.

When you chamber a round are letting the slide fly forward like from slide lock, or releasing the slide fully rearward? Are you riding the slide forward with your hand slowly? It could make a difference. I ask because guns are meant to run with the slide moving quickly. I have a Kahr CM9 that the manufacturer says specifically to load the gun from slide lock releasing the slide.
