Hi I just picked up my new SBE3 from my LGS today. Supper excited already tested it out with a trip to the sporting clays course :)

but I have a question. When the bolt is forward it has a small gap at the front where you can see the rotating bolt head. Is it supposed to be visible or should it be flush and covered?

if anyone is familiar or owns one I would appreciate it if you have an answer. It worked perfectly there didn’t seem to be any issues with how it functioned but I was not 100% sure so if it was supposed to be like that so I thought I should ask.

Not even something weird about that specific sub-model even, just a Benelli thing since... forever. Like, wood-stocked M1s from the 80s had the ejector port extending forward enough you see the end of the carrier, can see the bolt/extractor bits. As far as I know, all have the same exact geometry.

I agree it feels at a glance very non-european. Should be all perfect and slick, right :)

Yeah right. I mean it was my first Benelli so when I saw it I sort of did a double take like that doesn't look right but it is working perfectly.... soooo I guess maybe it is right? But yeah I just didn't know to expect it so I was just sort of thrown for a loop. Glad to hear it's normal.
