If you could pick any handgun, pistol or revolver, one of each, if you want to. What is the best looking handgun, to you. I am just carious, what others like. This is not meant to put what others like down. Everyone is going to be different. Plain or fancy, what is the best looking handgun, in your eyes.
I’ll start out with a pistol and a revolver. The prettiest pistol to me is a 4 1/2” High Standard Victor. There is just something about that 4 1/2” barrel, with the vent rib on top and a barrel weight underneath.

My revolver, would be my 4” Smith and Wesson model 624. I love the looks of a N frame Smith & Wesson, with a short, tapered barrel. They are a thing of beauty, to me

If you are looking at N-Frames, nothing else has such a serious-business look as the 3.5" Model 27:

I just love the looks. Though the Colt 1851 Navy probably looks the best to me.

I think a nice 2 tone 1911 with Novak sights is the beauty contest winner for the auto. For a wheelgun, a python. However it rolled out of the shop- they all look good.

This one is nice, but has Millets rather than Novaks.

As for the Python, I always thought the vent rib looked odd and was a PITA to clean. Just more area for dirt/moisture to collect for no tangible benefit. But the Royal Blue polish was very nice.

I've posted before that a Smith .38/44 "Outdoorsman" would qualify as my "grail" gun as far as handguns go. The only other thing I'd ask for if Smith started building .38/44s again is that they build them out of stainless. :thumbup:

In Semiautomatics I always thought the Sig P230 was elegant.

I think the Colt Army Special better proportioned and prettier than the K frame Smiths.

I had a Colt Woodsman Sport, in the 80s. I carried it all the time, when I was out, in the woods, hunting or just messing around. It was the finest .22 auto, I ever owned. When I graduated college, just started out in my field, wife and two babies, we needed money. I sold the woodsman because it would sell fast and for good money. I always regretted selling and always missed it. It was just light, handy and very well made. Several years ago, I corrected that mistake. This one will be buried with me.

For me, it's hard to beat the looks of an early 41 Smith or a Woodsman Match Target, along with the early Sig P210. Even though 1911's and their variants are my favorite to own, shoot, and look at and that's what most all of mine are. As for revolvers, the SAA's and many of those who've copied the aesthetics are my favorites. No pics, since I don't own any of those I've mentioned.

The Aqua Blue Ruger MKIV my kid got for Christmas has kinda grown on me though...

I see a lot of guns that I'd love to have in my safe, or already have some version of, that are to me mechanical works of art. Two semiautos I have are each beautiful in their own way.

1) Colt Combat Commander
2) Colt Lightweight Government
3) Beretta Model 70S

Revolver:
1) Colt Model1860 (or a reasonable facsimile of one)
2) Colt SAA (or a reasonable facsimile of one)
3) S&W Model 686

Though I don't currently own either, I always admired the clean Art Deco looks of the Remington 51, and Colt Pythons will always win the revolver looks for me.

Some good looking pistolas in this thread.

In revolvers I love blued steel and wood along with a little nostalgia.
I consider my S&W model 10 to be my “prettiest” or best looking revolver.

As far as semiautos go I have Glocks. Sexy as a fence post. I do have this CP33. It looks cool but I wouldn’t really call it “eye candy”.

Lots of great-looking guns in this thread!
To me, the best looking guns these days tend to be older ones with a great design, great finishing, AND some patina of use. This one posted recently by member KahrDriving is an excellent example.

I am also a fan of the Art Deco look in firearms. Whitney Wolverine for 22LR. My favorite overall is the Sanford Automag 44AMP. Beretta 93R is probably my second favorite.

Revolvers? Smith and Wesson model 15 with a 4" barrel Combat masterpiece would be my pick
