But it doesn’t fit my Uberti 1858
Nope, didn’t read the label, for Tradition pistol, not UbertiI think he meant the one he bought doesn't fit. Not surprising.
oooh yeah, they are not all the same!It isn't a Traditions vs Uberti thing, it's a Colt vs Remington thing. 'standard' wrenches are made to fit Colts and are not necked back to clear the frame on Remington's. I got bit the same way when I started out with a Colt repro and got an 1858 next year.
how did you make it?The best nipple wrenches I have, I made myself.
Some from 1/4" drive deep sockets, and some from hardened bolts.
how did you make it?
well DANG!Or even easier, you use a dremel or hacksaw to cut a groove in the end of a 1/4" drive deep socket until its a nipple wrench
thanks! I’m returning the Tradition wrench, I probably won’t buy any of their stuff, except their Pietta Guns. very low qualityI've had nothing but issues with the traditions wrenches. Most of them don't grab the flats well or are so soft they twist/break.
This is a great wrench that will work with tight recesses like your Rem NMA, mine has taken some pretty tight nipples out with no issues.
