What is the most recent knife you bought?

is there an easy way to determine ‘bone / stag’ vs plastic?
A little bit late, but... Stag has pores, something like oak or walnut, but not quite - you can see them on the ground off section on the handles. And it tends to get sticky as you hold it for a couple of minutes, especially if your hands are a little bit damp from sweat. That is if it's not varnished.

I got a deal so it wouldn't reflect buying them accurately. Work like this can be $75-$150 each.

It can be much more, but standard examples are on Etsy in that range.

I got both these for $70 at the auction.

Bought a cheap Ozark Trail assisted knife that comes in a holiday gift set. The SOG I was carrying and mentioned in my previous post here was starting to tick me off. It got tossed in the bin of former EDC knives.

Kabat USMC fighting knife, the old classic. I found these a good lknife for a range of field tasks and 7" was still long enough to stick large hogs when I was into that sport. I got one again recently for general use.

Didn't actually buy this knife... The "Birthday Faerie" (my wife) got it for me... :)

This is my first "neck knife" -- although the Boltaron sheath can be configured for belt carry in multiple orientations (default is vertical carry).

So far, I like the ergonomics... The highly corrosion-resistant LC200N steel is a nice "feature."

Everyone here is extolling the virtues of their inexpensive Mora’s, so I picked up a pair to keep in the cars, just because.

Tried one, shaved the hair on the back of my hand, pretty sharp as far as I’m concerned. Under $25 for the pair, delivered, in stainless.

First Mora I’ve bought since I got that wood handled one in Sweden about 50 years ago. Still no rust, when they say stainless they mean it.

Can anyone tell me what that "button" is for on the front of the sheath?
