I will say this , after using the Glock 20 and the Sig Xten , both in chest holster rigs on local "shooting ranges" , the Glock 20 seems stone reliable and my son's has nice sight system I installed and it is lightweight (a Glock 20SF) . The Sig has a very light 3.5 pound trigger with not so much movement being a straight trigger and comes with great sights and great ergonomics and a 5" bull barrel vs Glocks 4.6" barrel .
For banging around in the woods or serious hunting in bear country , I would lean slightly towards the Glock in a great Kydex Holster Like the Gunfighters INC, Kenai because it would give me more peace of mind if treated roughly and maybe crawling thru brush ect. or on Horse back or trail bike. The Sig is more accurate at greater distance , which a bear defense pistol needs not be, it indeed a great defensive pistol and would be great in competitions and suburban carry , however unless one was to put a manual safety on it, which can be done relatively cheaply by say , Grayguns , with a small safety cut and $50 worth of parts and a little labor by an expert, I would be a little uneasy with that wonderful trigger.
