I remember those Buell bikes in the late 90’s!
You mean like this one? 43FE84E0-A809-4500-92D9-94FEABF68C89.jpeg

It’s got an S&S 100” motor and Baker 6 speed transmission. Rolling off, the throttle can lock up the rear tire.
My last one is an ‘09.

Here getting a displacement bump from 1203 to 1340… nice!

Those drag pipes were never even drilled for baffles.
you must have smelled wonderful after a nice long ride … I had straight pipes once… NOPE, when the ladies are holding their nose because you smelled like a burnt gas can. Cat goes back on

Any smell goes out behind you. As for the ladies just get the bike up to about 80 for ten or 15 miles and they only have one thing on their mind. They didn't call them Milwaukee vibrators for nothing.:D

Good TIMES!

This is the last rig I got from El Paso, last year, I think. Maybe 2020. They still make good stuff.

And $5.50 diesel…
That too, diesel is nuts right now.

I do miss my 66 shovel with it's unbaffled drag pipes.
I had loud-assed Samsons on my Street Bob and loved it but nothing sounds quite like the old Shovels, Pans and Knuckles. The new EFI bikes idle too high to sound like that.

You might google around for the best price on this book. I bought my copy just a few years ago and don't recall what I spent on it. It wasn't cheap though.

RE your belt size. I also was in the 34-36 inch range in my late 30's to early 40's. Am up to a 38-40 now at age 47. Just a thought, you might get 2 cartridge belts - 1 in 357 and 1 in 45.

Those El Paso Rigs are nice!!!

I use these Galco holsters for my Pietta and Uberti SAA's. They aren't the pretiest things around but are functional.

I have cartridge belts in 357 and 45 from a couple different makers.

When shooting outback of the house, I load up the loops in the cartridge belt, plus throw a few more rounds in my shirt pocket. If I was going to carry them in public I would have at least 12rds in the cartridge belt giving me a reload for each gun.

So a question on your holsters - are you going with 2 strong side holsters (1 right hand holster and 1 left hand holster) or a strong side and a cross draw holster?

RE vehicles: I saw the light and found Jeepus Chrysler. I bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Willys JK in February and have been modifying it and wheeling it off road. My best mpg was 18 on flat, straight, Kansas 2 lane highways heading out to Colorado: Straddle.JPG

We picked up a 2nd one for my SO - a pavement princess 2021 JL Sport 2 door. It has the 2.0T engine and gets an astonishing 27.8mpg.

Both 15-21.JPG

My 3rd vehicle is a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD OR that I started off roading with. On a good day it gets 18mpg. Around town it's been stuck in the 13mpg range. It is heavy with lift, steel rock sliders, full steel skid plates, winch and winch bumper.

The Hellcat IS the "old stuff".

8.1 liter big block that sucks gas like it's free. It also chugs up a grade at 1800rpm while pulling a trailer. ;)

Without the $400 Cummins oil changes or the potential of losing a $20,000 injection pump. Plus, I can fix it.
The Durango SRT is my granddaughters daily driver… ;) Launch!

Man I love my little Tacoma… 19 model TRD Off-road with the long bed. I get 17-ish around here. Seldom drive in town and on the highway it’ll return 19 or better. I’ve never had a better off-road rig stock from the factory except my old Willys CJ5 and that wouldn’t top 55 on the highway. Lived it’s entire life on the ranch and my nephew still putts around in it.

I'm kind of shopping for a pickup to replace the 4Runner. I had a 2006 Nissan Frontier that I recently sold to a friend. Now am thinking Tundra, Silverado, Ram 1500 / F150. I test drove about 4 Tacomas and have kind of eliminated them. Looking for full size now. It would be used for hauling dirt in the spring, deer in the winter, and cross country road trips.

I had a 2014 Toyota Hilux Diesel 4x4 w/ a 5 speed manual as a company car in Africa. I really wanted to like the Tacoma but found them to be a little too cramped inside with all the airbags. I could still end up with one as they are good looking & reliable vehicles.

The year after I got the first Roosevelt rig from Texas Jack's, the had a 7.5" version of the holster in stock. I may have run over someone to grab it.

There's also a guy on Etsy that does really affordable floral carved stuff. Look up "Skillet Creek". I got a couple of his holsters for S&W's last year.

I do really like what they've done with the new Jeeps. For years folks were swapping Dana 44's into them. Now they come with them! Just wish they weren't so expensive. Of course, I have more invested in this stupid thing than a new Jeep costs. About 3yrs deep into a restoration on it. After the 350 and solid axle swap, it sat for 10yrs. I've had to renovate the engine compartment, gut the interior and completely rewire the thing. I downsized to 37's and stopped about halfway through building the flatbed for it.

don’t know yet! I do like cross draw, feel right but I don’t want all that weigh on the left size. Mabey 2 cross draw! would be cool
