Fun with a Glock a little bling.

It could be worse, and I may have a candidate.

The back story. I had a G19 stolen back in 2013. It was recovered one month later in a neighboring county, but their DA wouldn't release it back to me until after the trial. The drug dealers who had it finally plead guilty without a trial about a year ago when I got my stolen gun back.

But in the meantime, I'd purchased another G19. Since I now had 2, I decided to have a little fun with one. I used a Dremel tool to cut the grip down to G26 length. I also ground off the finger grooves and used a soldering iron to stipel the front strap.

It is butt-ugly and far from professional workmanship. But it just plain works. I like the additional barrel length over a G26, but it will accept 10 round G26 mags, 10+2 round G26 mags, 15 round G19 mags, 17 round G17 mags, 19 round mags intended for the G19X, and 33 round mags.

The 10+2 round mag is a perfect match for it. Just enough length to get my pinky finger on the grip yet easily concealed with a bit more sight radius than a G26.

Nothing wrong with having a bit of gun fun. When I decided to try something different, I went with cerakote camo on three of my duplicate-model Glocks.

They’re something better than basic black I guess. :)

Stay safe.

With the amazing reliability that Hi Points seem to have, that Colt .45 version goes perfectly with Billy Dee Williams’ ad campaign slogan from the 1980’s:

Stay safe.
