New Wrangler barrel lengths

I lament that ruger seams to be shifting all their focus to making the cheapest guns they can, but if you are going to make a cheap gun you should still make it a good gun, and I think ruger does a better job at making a good cheap gun than anyone else out there.

I'm glad they're finally doing something to cut into Heritage sales and doing it better.

They've got some more "cutting" to do. Last I heard, Heritage was selling their pistol for under seventy bucks with a rebate. The Wrangler's a better gun but I like the fact that serviceable firearms like the ones Heritage and Hi-Point make are available and affordable for most people, regardless of their financial means.

100% agree.

Indeed!
I just saw the talo distributor birdshead. Too good of a deal with wood grips and a free leather holster so I ordered one.

Out of two HRRs and one wrangler the wrangler is the dud for me. By dud I mean accuracy and the wrangler doesn't come close to the HRRs. Otherwise they are about the same, cheap and not quite so cheap examples of single action revolvers. Good tools to teach youngsters the basics of handgun shooting and if one gets dinged or breaks you aren't out much in the wallet. I haven't let a kid shoot the wrangler as I don't want to discourage them.
