Anybody in love with buying cheap quality guns!?!?!

I am! I bought very good quality guns and still do. But I’m in love with the cheap offerings like Tisas and Ruger!

What other cheap quality brands am I missing?
 
Very interested in MillSurps too, like the Russian stuff from Atlantic Firearms

Price range $300 to $500

I've got a 4" Taurus Tracker that was inexpensive, but it's surprisingly nice. I like it quite a bit as a carry gun.

But I'd say it's a "good value" more than "cheap." :D

I shot the .44 mag tracker with the ports… Very manageable gun! Might get one soon.
 
It's the porting that make it as nice as it is. Subjectively it's got much less felt recoil with full-power loads than with my 686 - I need to do a range trip and compare them. You'd think S&W would respond with factory porting, but maybe most don't like it or see the need.

It isnt so much what costs more, as it is what the combo gives you and works well together. Ive had $500 Aimpoints on $300 AK's for decades now, and the combo works great.

The main reason I dont (yet) have a red dot on any of my handguns, is simply that I know I will want them on anything I can get them on once I start, and that equates to a ton of money I cant afford to put out right now. Night sights are bad enough.

Ahh, the good ol days of quality 300 dollar ak's. Sadly, I think those days are long gone as I paid 2k for the last one I brought. :(

Norinco MaK90 was a good quality cheap AK. Bought one at an estate auction about 8 years ago, with lots of ammo and in original post ban configuration. $500

Same here for the tx22. I bought one last summer and was really astonished at the accuracy and reliability. It destroys 12 ounce soda cans at 100 feet after getting used to it and I've yet to encounter a brand of ammo it don't like. I dont have a g3 but I do have a g2c and its been good to me. The only malfunctions Ive ever had was a few light primer strikes that usually remedied itself with a second trigger pull.

the biggest worry I have with double stack .22 is rim lock. Wonder how they fix that issue with the TX22
 
Random stuff I've owned...

Taurus Beretta 92 clone has been excellent (since 1990), as was the G2c and several of their revolvers.

Lots of the milsurp autos were amazing deals. The Star Super B's and BM's and the Beretta 81's could be had for around $200.

Two SAR CZ clones that cost $225-$250 and functioned perfectly.

The old FEG Hi-Power clones were a very good deal, as were their PP and PPK clones.

A Kel-Tec P3AT that always functioned properly.

A Hi-Point carbine goes bang every time and is accurate.

IMHO, some of the best deals out there right now are the Turkish and Filipino 1911's. Mine have been very, very good.

Another really good deal are the Italian Colt SAA clones. Mine is an inexpensive "baseline" model, but the fit and finish and quality of the action and the accuracy are all impressive.

I got a few SAA clones and C&B clones. Great value compared to original Colts, and fun to shoot
 
There's inexpensive and then there's cheap.

My LGS friend Jim has a bunch of really old, cheap suicide specials and alloy-framed revolvers from Germany hanging on a display on his back wall, none of which has ever changed hands for over $100. My late brother's RG revolver in .22 Short is up there -- even though I miss my brother, I can't say I ever warmed to it.

On the inexpensive side, I'm quite fond of Glocks and RIA 1911s. Yeah, Glocks -- their individual production cost is something like 30-35% of the retail price, which is why Gaston Glock is a billionaire. I'm not complaining about it; Glock was a smart dude who took some even more savvy pricing advice when the G17 first hit the US market. I carry one and have owned three -- it's still an inexpensive pistol with an inflated price tag. Glocks could be priced less than an RIA 1911 and still sell at a profit.

An RIA will never shoot like an Ed Brown, but it functions, doesn't fall apart and isn't too hard on the eyes. I'd probably own a Tisas if they sold them in here in the People's Republic.

Careful loading. If your used to pulling down the button and dropping them in, you will have misfeeds. Use a loader or load them one at a time by hand and you won't. Both my TX22's work perfectly loaded with an Uplula as does my Sig P322.

depends on what you mean by cheap. many ruger offerings are inexpensive but quite high quality, especially for the money.
