inline fab storage dock

Who is using the storage docks for inline fab quickchange mounts? where do you have them mounted? i'm considering mounting 2 on my wall of my reloading room which is 7/16" osb. just seems like a lot of leverage on that small mount if i hand my 550 or the new t7 i just picked up?

I have mine attached to a 2 X 8 screwed to a wall. I would not trust 7/16 OSB to remain secure without some additional back-bracing.

I would not trust light weight screws into OSB to hold that kind of weight. Definitely use heavy enough screw or even small lag bolts to hold the dock to a 2x that is also properly secured to the wall.

I have a couple mounted on the end of my bench 2x4 with 2 #10 screws.

If your concern you may want to mount a 2x4 across 2 wall studs. Then attach to it.

I used lag bolts into a 2x that is securely mounted to wall studs.

Yup, I'd screw a 2x into studs and then attach the dock to that. In fact my dock is enroute as I type and that's what I plan to do

That is what I'm planning on doing also. A 2" x 4" rail mounted through the drywall and into the studs on the wall of my garage next to my bench

2 styles for me, screwed into the end of the main bench and also into the smaller butcher block table I made, which has a flush mount Inline Fabrication quick change plate, and I have a riser on the main bench

I screwed mine into concrete filled concrete blocks, so I’m no help.

But they are nice!
