Well Folks.
I did it I took the leap of faith and Bought a “High end” 1911 I had played around with some imports and even had a real deal colt but never understood the allure of the 1911. In my mind there was nothing the 1911 could do that a modern design such as Glock, Sig, or Beretta couldn’t do as well if not better and lighter with a better round count.
Well I took delivery of my Wilson CQB that I bought used for what I feel was a great price from George at www.migunslingers.com with 6 months of free layaway to boot (there is your plug thanks again George!) and upon inspection I could not get over all the small things that set this pistol apart from the other 1911s that I have owned the attention to the details and the craftsmanship are amazing. But going back to my beliefs that the pistol couldn’t be as reliable and accurate as the more modern and more widely issues “tactical” pistols of today I thought well it sure is pretty and well made but I bet it is finicky. Well I am here to tell you that this pistol eats anything and shoots tighter than I will ever need a handgun to shoot!!!
The only things that I would change are install an ambidextrous safety (I am a southpaw) and maybe hard chrome it for rust protection the green frame has not grown on me as much as I thought it would.
Anyone has a suggestion as for a CCW holster for this pistol that has worked well for them (I am 6’2 240lbs)?
Again I can’t get over how well this pistol performs it has shattered my 1911 myths I can not say enough good things about it or the person I bought it from.
