Yeah it's dumb silly and downright frivilous but also kinda fun.
The point of this thread is to make a post from the shooting range. I'm here at the OFGC on a nice cool somewhat hazy and humid morning waiting for a few barrels to cool.

no longer have my blackberry, no wifi at my range, so i can't do the same. in my defense, however, i'm getting ready to head out for some extended range testing in a few minutes. gonna check out the accuracy of the bdc on a nikon monarch that is mounted on my pre-64 m70, and measure actual bullet drop from my 7 rum and 270 win.

I am still too old school for that kind of cool stuff. I just want my phone to talk. I don't even have a picture phone. Maybe someday, but I am cheap too, at least outside of shooting. :)

What barrels are cooling? What kind of cool stuff are you shooting?

Can do, shot and uploaded via my new to me used $100 3G Iphone.

I was shooting at 1,2 and 3 hundred meters with a Ruger m77 MkII in 30-06, a Remington Spartan single shot rechambered to 303 British and my 7.62x39mm AR with a new (not shown) ???? 7.62x39 ballistic plex scope.

I really like the look of that Remington Spartan rifle. What calibers are they available in?

I can tell from your past posting that you like to shoot, and are quite capable with, rifles. Probably pistols too, but you seem to prefer rifles.

$100 phone eh. That's not the problem, it's learning to use it. :D

My old phone message used to say, I don't carry my phone, and I don't know how to check my messages, but if you beep me at....I will call you.

I do actually carry my phone now (work phone), and I can check messages and everything, but I just haven't gotten excited about taking pics or emailing/getting on the web with one yet. Texting? With my eyesight and fat fingers? Are you kidding me? :) AC

The calibers are the usual suspects 223, 243, 270, 308 and 30-06. The only novelty being 7.62x39mm. Which is what this rifle started out as but due to a crooked shoulder neck junction in the OE chamber I reamed it to that most Victorian of cartridges .303 British
