Just some food for thought...

If you do the math, that works out to $610 per 1K rounds. Right now, even in todays market, you can get 1K rds of .40 for $420, or $21 for 50 rds.:

I KNOW it is a different manufacturer, I know shipping charges would increase the price. Most likely, it would still be cheaper than buying 50 rds. at a time. My point being is to buy bulk. Its not like ammo goes bad.

Not trying to be an a$$ or cause trouble, just food for thought.

Cheers!

American Eagle is practice ammo. SXT is SD ammo. I haven't seen Gold Dot, SXT or HST for under a buck a round in quite some time...

From the website:

"Also Federal American Eagle ammo is a excellent home defense round."

I dont want to argue if it really is or isnt a HD rd. I really dont know. I took that comment on face value. I have not bought ammo (except some .22) for a few years and wont be until prices become reasonable.

There just seems to be SO many threads on prices, and SO many of they are comparing 50 rd boxes.

My point being is to buy bulk.

Is HD ammo no longer sold in bulk? Thats an honest question - I really dont know anymore. I stocked up on 500 rds. of 147 gr. Hydra-Shok for somewhere around $200, and I thought THAT was too much to spend at the time.
