Ok since my last thread was shut down due to zombies.......
Damb those zombies.....

Ifigured i would get to the point of my previous thread.
Dose anyone actualy have or has seen one of these A.R.I.E.S suppresor system rifles????

And the MagPul FMG-9......
Dose anyone know if they are actually going to make these.
It would be a great pack item for my plane.
Any clue on cost???

I dont think they are going to release the FMG9 for general consumption, or at least anything we can own as civilians.

Why not just stick with already released weapons, like a Keltec folding rifle, if you need a compact weapon? Zombies?

Maybe it would be better if you just put the name of the gun you are trying to get info on in the thread name.

Yea, Zombies..... read the "Top 5 Apocolypse guns" thread, dont worry its short. lol
Yea, thereare plenty of other rifles out therethat fold up and become pretty compact.
But the whole fits in your back pocket thing is just plain sexy.

If you're concerned with Zombies you're spending way too much time on the internet. Quit making the rest of us gun owners look like paranoid lunatics.

NO! Stop saying zombies! they will shut down my thread(again)
Which is probably going to happen anyway beacue this thread is pretty much going no where and nobody seems to have any experience with one of the A.R.I.E.S suppressed rifles.

P.S.
The FMG-9 is still sexy

Yes, I will say Zombies, because you are not interested in NFA firearms, you are interested in your silly little Mad Max / Left 4 Dead fantasy and you just make the rest of us rational, intelligent adults look bad.

I think he just wants to know about A.R.I.E.S. SUPPRESSED Rifle and if its available to the public. Probably easy to figure out though have you tried google?

So because I want to come on here and ask about a couple very interesting firearms, in a manner that is humerous instead of dull and dry, you are going to to try and cut me down.
Well I'm sorry I'm not a boring old man.
As far as the subject weapons, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is interested in them. So i feel that i am fully justified in talking about them.
Now maybe you should go yell at some kids to stay off your lawn.

You can order them for a pretty penny at "shooters depot" (not sure if that counts as advertising)
They are basically a kit you buy and they install it.
I was wondering if anyone has one or has had the chance to handle one.

Did you see all the modifications they did on the M16 to make it work.
I think i found a video of it on youtube, but im skeptical that it is really that quiet.
Itl looks like it significantly reduces the recoil.

Yeah, I'm sure his interest in firearms is mature, responsible and law abiding. /rolleyes
Having a supressed firearm or an automatic is perfectly legal in most states.
as long as the correct forms are filed. Any educated person would know this.
You voted for Obama didn't you?

He's asked if anyone has experience with one rifle, and if anyone had information about a possible release of a concept PDW. Period.

That is a pair of perfectly legitimate questions. You seem to have brought a lot of negativity into this thread. Apparently you have nothing to add to the discussion beyond your personal dislike for this poster.

Do not elevate yourself to the point of commenting negatively on his reasons, maturity, or willingness to break the law.

-Sam
P.S. -- If one is willing to open oneself up to public critique by disparaging another forum member for that person's perceived immaturity, it would be best to find an on-line persona that does not reference a vigilante hero from the funny papers, mmmmm'k?

Thank you.
I was thinking something along those likes about the name but i couldn't manage to word it as eloquently as you.
lol although i thought the Obama digg was kinda funny.

my brother in law spent a lot of money to have a muzzle break made and installed on one of his rifles but after about 700 rounds it broke off.
has anyone elce had a problem like this? and since the A.R.I.E.S supressor is not actualt attached to the barrel could this become an issue?
The probability of "shooting the suppressor" seems more likely with this setup.

I went with a sound suppressor that was designed for a specific weapon that fits on a flash hider designed for the same weapon.
The weapon, flash hider and sound suppressor are all designed for battled field use and all three are robust and extremely reliable.

Don't let THE DARK KNIGHT get you all upset. Judging from his posts in another thread he is the only one that knows how to do anything responsible with firearms. I have come to believe that everyone is wrong but him. I personally believe that we should elect him to office so that he can decide for us the rights and wrongs of gun ownership. He is clearly smarter and more responsible than the rest of us. THE DARK KNIGHT for president 2012!!!!

On a less serious note, I am glad this thread was posted because up until now I had not heard of the ARIES.

Gee, I wonder what it was...oh, the mystery.

FWIW I for one have never seen nor heard of a muzzle break, compensator, flash hider, suppressor, or any other muzzle trinket breaking if properly installed and maintained. I would say that it is a rare occurrence to say the least, and wouldn't let that stop me from adding one. What would give me pause is adding about 20db to a compensated rifle...the suppressor is a good idea IMO, I just don't believe that I would pay $3k for one. You may want to check out some of Zak's creations here...Thunder Beast...I am considering adding one of these to one of my rifles. :)

Gee, I wonder what it was...oh, the mystery.

Oh, Sweet Mystery of Life, At Last I've Found You.

I'm not a boring old man either. I'm just an old man. Old doesn't equal boring. ;) Just because someone isn't interested in silenced rifles designed to shoot long distances doesn't make them boring either. I think shooting is plenty interesting enough without all the bells and whistles.

I'm not criticizing what you're interested in. I just ask that you don't criticize those of us that aren't into the same things.

Have fun!
LOL, Sorry about that, I just had pictured in my mind the stereotypical elderly man who pretty much hates the world. You seem to be much the opposite. :)

I questioned my brother in law about the muzzle break that broke, Evidently it was some big name gunsmiths experiment. He said something about cross helical spiral ports..... ???
And that the tolerances were very tight. It was supposed to strip away a majority of the gasses around the bullet and do some other fancy thing.
Needless to say he took the muzzle break back and the guy bought the whole gun from him. LOL

Ok so are you going to tell us what this mystery setup is or are you just going to torture us some more.
Or better yet post some pictures

Just noticed there were no pictures in this thread, everyone knows that any good thread has some good pictures
So here is the main gun i have been talking about.
It is the m16 version
