In memory of Patrick Swayze, may Jed live forever.

Jed Eckert: How did you get shot down, Colonel?
Col. Andy Tanner: It was five to one. I got four.

This is one movie that made me like guns even more!

Funny cause my bro said they are making a remake of that movie right now in MI. He was talkin to a guy and he told him they rented like a whole neighborhood in Mt. Clemens MI, and I guess they where supposed to fly a plane into a house or something. He said the guy who played Kirk in the new Star Trek movie was in it with a bunch of no namers, but dunno which rolls or how closely they followed the original, hopefully I don't get pissed off on a butchering of a good classic. This is coming from like 3rd hand info so I dunno how good it is as they are still filming supposedly. Hopefully it comes out sooner then later.

They're filming the remake of Red Dawn in the Detroit area. Mt. Clemens is the nice quiet neighborhood, and they're using Detroit for the post-destruction scenes. It was on the local news tonight.

Sorry gotta say it.

I hope they pay Detroit extra money for the excellent set building the city has done in anticipation of the need for a post-apocalyptic background.

The original Red Dawn had that guy from Dirty Dancing and a bunch of no-namers in it. Oh and Ben Johnson. Can't wait to see this one. What politicly correct group is going to be invading? The russians can't do it, the mexicans have already done it and the chinese already own our country so they don't need to do it.

I read that it's a joint Chinese/Russian invasion in the upcoming remake.

Rest in Peace Patrick Swayze.

I forgive you for "Dirty Dancing" because Red Dawn is my favorite movie of all time. Guns, commies, explosives, and living off the land. Rebelling against invaders and doing their part to help win WW3. I just finished watching it for the gazillionth time and I still love it!

WOLVERINES!

North of Bagram Air Field on the road to the Salang Pass there is an old, mangled Soviet BTR-80 with 'Wolverines!' spray-painted on the side.

Rest in Peace Patrick Swayze.

Great movie. I will have to watch it again next week in memory of Patrick.
In the original film were the mountain scenes filmed near Berthoud pass Colorado. ??
