I am glad to see that you have chosen us as your source of information of responsible gun ownership. It makes no difference if you are brand spanking new or a seasoned old vet we are all equal now.

Some of your questions will indeed be repetitious and even boring to many of us, however we understand that your questions and concerns are brand new to you.

Responsible gun ownership and use is a Right granted to ALL us and it is not based on the period of time you have exercised it or been a member.

Permit me to be the first to welcome you aboard.

Pappy

So true....New posters every day & month....I recall posting my range trip with my Daewoo pistols....Some guy blasted me that I had already done that some months back....Like, did everyone see it the last time, and aren't there new posters that might want to view what I have to say?
Lots of repetition, but I find it interesting....:)

I am working on the post count Michael, I just have as much time as a disabled truck driver living on welfare and staying home all day and up all night!:neener:

Pay no attention to the squatters and the snark remarks. There are several of us on here NOW that will be more than glad to listen to you and help you if you need it.

In Furtherance, I see no difference in a gun owner whether he is shooting a $5,000 custom creation that I have created for him or a $159.00 Hi-Point!

I also see no difference in a forum member if he has been here for 10 years or 10 minutes. From what was explained to me that heaped a whole bunch of light on the subject is that we are ALL in public view and all must be responsible for our own actions. Too many members, old and new, fail to realize this.

I am a born leader. A take charge type of individual. That is not well tolerated by the squatters who seem to live a fantasy life on the internet. I bear no shame for what I am. I will never judge a man or member by the guns he owns or brags about nor do I want to be judged any differently.

We like minded members need to stick together to assist new gun owners and prove to the naysayers that we are responsible people who are exercising a Constitutional Rights of free Speech and The Right To Bear Arms We all know the Government is no longer capable or willing to defend us.

Now that said, when it all goes sideways, and it very well do just that, we want the public running to us for assistance and not away from us in fear That's what I believe what the HIGH ROAD is all about.

Cool beans!

I know this has probably been asked before, but I have the following questions:

Do you really know what MIM parts are? Metal Injected Molding?

Also, what gun part is depicted in the web site information?

http://www.custompartnet.com/wu/metal-injection-molding

I am a pistol smith and do custom work exclusively on 1911s. I got a bunch of these from Turkey, since the majority of MIM parts are made there. Could you tell me what parts are depicted in the web site information?

I think it's awesome that you're also into 1911 custom work! Do you have a website where I can check out your work? I'm looking for some new ideas for my custom work (with $5,000 custom 1911s, I know you've GOT to be GOOD)!

One more thing, what's the deal with this Glock and is it normal? Is it because of these so-called MIM parts?

Thanks! :)

From what I can see of that Glock Serial number it appears to be a .40 cal barrel failure. In my opinion Glock pushed the limits of the G19 an G26 to create the G21,G23 and G27. You can only take a design and metal stress to a certain point and boring out the 9 mm to shoot hot .40 cal rounds was not wise judgment, See the failures I documented.

Now your submitted photo is an internet photo of a Glock 21 that has been out there for a while and also part of my collection and no the failure was not a fault of MIM parts. Glock does not have MIM parts in them only stamped steel short stock parts.

I am a retired Gun Smith and only do 1911 custom work for limited people. I will give all the help you want and all you need do is PM me.

Good, I don't know about that. Expensive absolutely! I won't even look at a 1911 for less than a $200.00 service charge. This weeds out the riff raff and beggars!

Hey, I don't have nearly as many posts as Pappy, can I run the board for a while?......hehehe

Bill:confused:
Give it your best shot cowboy. I see that hat just where are the cattle? Then again daddy always said to never call him a cowboy till you see him ride, Put your foot in this stirrup and swing right on up there big guy. I'll hold the horse for you till your ready to go.

NOW?...........There have been quite a few for some time now, starting way before me, or you.

Welcome aboard to you too pappy. From the posts I have seen you seem knowledgeable and that is always welcome here, as well as those who thirst for knowledge. :)

Thank you from me and all the other new comers who get a hassle here only to leave in disgust! I won't back up unless I am politely asked to. I will give you the shirt of my back if you are cold though.

Daddy always taught me to stand for something so you don't fall for anything. He always said " The only way to loose your dignity is to give it away"

Pappy has been a member for 11 days.

Equal? Not by a long shot. You're no sm.

Many of us do.

That's what I believe what the HIGH ROAD is all about.

I'm not sure you've been here long enough to know what THR is all about.

Please continue with informative posts pappy, but quit with the snake oil diplomacy.
You're very new here, yet you post like you've come to take over and/or destroy THR.

Few people have enough substance to offer to fill 28 posts per day for 11 consecutive days.
Pause and think about that before wasting any more bandwidth.

Starting to sound like the president  Who decides if a person is a born leader ? HE DOES of course :D He is a legend in his own mind.

But then I just a poor disabled trucker on welfare Who even on line day and night . Doesn't have a daily average post count 28.05 per day .
My average is 1.61 posts per day
I just love this place, Is such a great place for information and fun filled talk about guns, ammo, and life.
May be pappy should run a poll and ask members if he is a born leader or not. In the interest of information and fun of course. :D

I would say that about 95% of us here. Fall in the riff and beggar part. Even a lawyer normally doesn't charge for that 1st talk . To see if you have a case and what can be done .

Well Michael I had suspicions you were riff raff and a beggar, thank you for confirming that. I did not know you were the spokesman for the squatters though
95% you say...wow that is worse that I thought it was.

By the way, I am also a lawyer. Hope that we can become friends you never know you might need my services when them 95% of angry people come for you.
