Well-worn Handguns Pictures

I need to get some better pictures of this, but it's a S&W 2nd Model Hand Ejector from 1917. Apparently been in at least one world war and seen a heck of a lot of other use. I really enjoy it. Sometimes I even load it up and stick it in the nightstand, other times I do dry-fire drill with it, and shoot it at least once a year. It has a (non-period correct) lanyard on it as once a year I try to ride with it, so it still gets out and "works" to earn its keep.

Unfortunately the original grips disappeared long ago so now it wears some from a Brazilian model. Last time I saw an excellent pair of correct grips for this model, they were in excellent shape and traded at $300. Gulp. That's the price of really nice Victory model! So I guess it will keep wearing those '40's vintage Brazilian grips a while longer. Since I do use it periodically, I put some vintage Pachmayr grip adapters on it as T-Grips would look too modern.

Here's my most worn one. A Colt Official Police 38. Made in 1950, or two years before I was born.

That thing has since been refinished, reworked, and customized.

1903 Colt (made in 1912) .32 ACP. Looks bad, functions and shoots great.

My 1953 Romanian Tokarev, which I just used yesterday to qualify for my CCW permit:



I added the compensator to it, but it matches the original finish fairly well.

Colt Officers Model 38 Special , about 1948 , not much to look at, but man what a shooter!

Here's my circa 1951 .38 Spl. Colt Police Positive Special. At some point, it was a service pistol for the police forces of Colombia (marked "Fuerzas de Policia
Republica de Colombia" on the barrel).

I carried one or the other of these often in the 1980s.

Both are accurite, snug, smooth as silk, and as reliable as an Anvil.

In my neck of the woods, that's the same thing as a coffin hoist. Not sure what it is over there
