You know I think I paid $99 for mine about 5 years ago . Was the first pistol I bought with my C&R license. It's been reliable as a gun comes for me, and decently accurate. A bit odd though. No slide release - Euro-style mag catch instead of release button. The grips tend to "wobble" a tad bit with the default setup (I put on a Hogue slip-on grip on mine which keeps them tight and in place).

Overall, definitely a fun range toy, but not really a good utility pistol IMHO. If you want something more practical off the surplus market right now - grab a CZ-82.

on topic: I had two chromed CZ-52 that I just sold. Great guns, very reliable, fun to shoot. However I could never consider them series SD weapons due to how unergonomic they are. Now I am sitting on a pile of 7.62x25....guess I will have to buy a PPSH.

When (notice I said when and not if) you purchase a CZ-52, do yourself a favor and go ahead and order a replacement extractor and pin (spring too, maybe, I don't recall). Mine shot off within a few dozen rounds.

Might as well be ready to take a file to the edges of the trigger. They're kind of sharp. A little file work and a little cold blue and the trigger is much friendlier.

The pistol is quite accurate, and the 7.62x25 is a very fun round to shoot. Nice and lively.

I wish I had a gun for every time I said I was done buying guns. Nevermind, that's my problem now.

It really just a trade of currency for a gun.

The cash is just worthless paper backed by nothing but debt...get rid of it if you have found some sucker that will give you a gun for it!!!

You are not buying guns - you are investing in the future. Or, in the case of the Cz 52, you are investing in a rare commodity, a piece of history that will only go up in price over time, as they are not made anymore.
It's all how you write the paperwork...

How it starts....

It always starts innocently enough. You know, drawing pictures in class when you're supposed to be doing math. Then, the older boys showing you glossy color photos on the school yard. Then lusting after the .22 your older brother got for Christmas.

It's all downhill from there!

I almost bought one of those at a guns how a few weeks ago, looked like new, $219 equipped like the one in the picture. I passed on it and bought a couple of others but the price of 7.62x25 ammo keeps me looking at them!

I just told my wife that very same thing the other day! then my buddy calls me and say's he needs money and needs to sell his Bushmaster shorty with AK flash suppresor for $500 bucks! needless to Say i now own my first AR!!
