open carry and the BBC

Not surprised that BBC news seems well-balanced. I watch it to get stories that won't be broadcast here, or to get a balanced view instead of the slanted journalism available in the US.

The BBC rocks. Generally very well balanced and insightful. And, yes, many Brits don't like their inane laws and are starting to fight for some of their rights back. It's a long road, however, but I think they can do it.

Btw, the city where I live (Cary, NC) explicitly bans open carry anywhere in the city limits. I need to write the NRA and ask them to fight this in court. Complete crap.

I don't know if I would say they rock, but I do agree that most articles are pretty well balanced and insightful. I can't say that any of our news companies here are generally well balanced and insightful - and that's a shame.

Good video.

It is indeed sad that I get more actual journalism from BBC than I do most things here concering the good ol' USA.

I have also noticed that while the BBC and NPR tend to lean towards the left, they do try to keep their reports balanced and without reporter/interviewer bias.

It's a relative world, and considering the tripe we've been fed from the US news agencies, I still contend that the BBC rocks.

During my 4 years stationed in England I found out more of what was really happening in the US than the American public knew. In Europe they reported what really happens in the US and not the selective drivel spewed out over our airwaves.

Good story, very balanced. About what I expect of the BBC, better than the crap media we have in this country.

I find the BBC and Al Jazeera to be some of the best news networks.

In order to "fight it in court", someone has to be arrested and charged (and face all the possible consequences of same, good and bad).

You volunteering?

Nice video. I always like to point out that it is legal to open carry knives in most places and that there doesn't seem to be a rash of stabbings as a result.
