Anything wrong with this video?

Some friends and I are arguing about whether this video demonstrates poor gun safety habits.

What do you think? Do you think the camera was really unmanned and on a tripod, or that there was a person behind it? If there was nobody behind the camera is it still a safety violation? (I would think it is a violation either way, unless you want to destroy the camera)

Curious whether you think there were safety issues or not.
 
She never really covered anyone or anyhing with the muzzle, her finger was along the slide. I wouldn't have taken the gun away from her and knocked her teeth out with it like I tell people I will do if they point a gun at me. I think it was ok for the most part.
Taking a second look: she does sweep the cameraman while picking up one of the revolvers, don't like that much. At least the guy filming seemed to have some verbal control over her.
And she does seem to go both ways, i.e. left and right.

Ok, the only problem I see is when she takes them off the tailgate, she swings the muzzle across the camera operator instead of keeping it pointed down. Also I wouldn't stand in front of a person firing a gun even if i'm standing off to the side (but this isn't technically a violation, just personal preference).

If the camera has no operator standing behind it, then no problem. If it happened to get shot it's not a big deal. It can be replaced. I guess if you love cameras you might think otherwise, but for me I'm more willing to destroy a nonliving object than a person so I just care about not pointing it at people.
 
What about when the hot casing goes down her bra and she dances around for a while with her finger on the trigger?

Maybe not a huge mistake but also not very good gun safety, finger should have come off the trigger right away. I guess it's hard to concentrate though if something painful happens to you.

Supposedly tripods were used in the video but it looks to me like the camera man was swept by the .25 in the first few seconds of the video where he is walking with the camera (so that part couldn't be a tripod).

Also the guns were not pointed downrange when she was picking 'em up, they were pointed both perpendicular to as well as away from downrange.
 
Ah, didn't see that part. Well, the internet is full of less-than-safe persons with guns. Like those guys firing across a highway and then when the camera pans back you can read their license plate in the background. Smart move posting that for the world to see. :D

I wouldn't let it get to me if I were you.

Shooting a semiauto wearing clothing with a low neck that cal make it easier for brass to end up in the shirt, which it does, is a bad idea.
Forgetting to take her finger out of the trigger when the casing drops into her shirt.

That's about it.

Looks like the camera is on a tripod for those shots do to lack of movement, but who knows, we were not there - no telling where the cameraman was at.

For the style of dress, while it turned out painful for her, that is a personal option and has no bearing on safety. As for where her finger was when the brass dropped into her shirt, not a big deal, the muzzle was pointed in a safe direction the entire time.
 
Of course there was some unsafe handling in this video. Both males and females commit their share of unsafe practices when they're still inexperienced, but at least with females it's semi-predictable. For example, if they're surprised by the blast and/or recoil of a shot and start to giggle and act cute, then a good percentage of the time they're just about to turn around and sweep everybody with their finger on the trigger. :eek: Somehow it's just not as cute when there's a loaded gun pointed at you :rolleyes:, so always be ready to quickly intervene. I'm not saying that all women who are new to shooting do this all the time or trying to promote a stereotype, but certain tendencies exist so be prepared for them.
 
Don't even get what the appeal of the video would be in the first place. She's not even that hot....
