I don't mind loading cases and bullets by hand on my 550B but, loading primer tubes is a pain. Is there an option that will allow me to automate the primer process on the 550?
I checked the price of the auto tube filler and it's $300 and all it does is fill the tubes. I'll put up with loading the tubes myself as I do have about 6 of them.Assuming that you are using the auto primer drop tubes that came with your Dillon 550, you have two options; one, Dillon sells an auto primer tube filler(expensive) that will load a primer tube in a minute; or two, buy several or more extra priming tubes and fill all once. It only takes me about two minutes to fill an empty primer tube with 100 primers. Are you sure you are loading them correctly, or are you loading that much ammo?
I like that gizmo. Discontinued? Too bad.You need this. The product was discontinued. It did need a little deburring and fitting but I can have 100 primers loaded in a 650 in less than a minute.
Bought one years back. Cheaply made and I have to shake it to keep the primers from stacking up, but for $12.00 (???) it works well. You need this. The product was discontinued. It did need a little deburring and fitting but I can have 100 primers loaded in a 650 in less than a minute.
