Held in ripon on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Whether you've never done IDPA before or just want to take advantage of any opportunity to get better, come on out.

Held at the Ripon rifle and gun club, ripongunclub.com
Cost is a mere $10 to the range development fund.

A fun friendly environment, you won't regret it, so come on out Wisconsin shooters! ( others welcome too, of course :) )

also, monthly match held on the 2nd Saturday each month.

Don't forget your baseball cap! See the website or pm me if you have questions!

I'd bring:
Baseball cap
Eye and Ear protection
Strongside holster, preferably easy to draw from ( ie kydex or if leather, already broken in)
At least one double or two single mag carriers/speed loader carriers
A sturdy belt that will support your holster and mags
At least two spare magazines / speedloaders, preferably three or four
At least 150 rounds of ammo.
Might wanna bring a drink and a snack, the club trailer will only be open for matches, as I understand it.
And don't forget a good attitude as always! Hope to see you there!

TriTone,

Great idea, so many shooters roll up to a match, and know nothing!

To have a start on skill, great idea. Dry fire, great also, dry draw, aim and CLICK. Worth it's weight in gold. Don't forget, concealed!

TriTone-

Thanks for the thread. I'm from Menomonee Falls, and would love to come up and shoot. How often does the club have classifiers? I am a new member of IDPA and still need to be classified.

I've been reading through the IDPA rules, and see that concealment is heavily stressed. This may be a stupid question, but concealed carry isn't allowed in Wisconsin, so how does that impact us? I ask because I have a couple Sidearmor holsters and don't know if they're allowed and wanted to check.

Tully:
You'll be fine with those. I'm currently using a kydex OWB holster.

Ryan:
There aren't any more classifiers left this year, but that doesn't mean you can't come up and shoot! For reference the last classifier was on June 17th. Again though, doesn't mean you cant come and participate!

I'm assuming this is at the outdoor range, but it looks like the address Google spits out is the indoor range?

Man, that was a blast. Watch out for TriTone, he's a crack shot. What were you shooting today?

Agreed, was a great time, and you shot well yourself! I was on my Xd9 Service. It was great meeting a fellow high roader and hope we can get some more of the wisconsin high road gang out to these. Two left this year, Sept. 23rd and Oct.14th.

Also a reminder for all of the match this Saturday! Mandatory safety briefing and registration at 8am. Will probably be done by 12pm, 1pm at the latest. www.ripongunclub.com for directions.

HI All :) Just a reminder that there is another training session next week Thursday the 23rd. Hope to see some of you there!

You guys do this twice each month, all year round? Wouldn't mind hopping up there to try this out. I've been wanting to try IDPA or IPSC. But I don't really have much to go with. Just a SA XDm 9mm with the standard goodies and holster that come with it.

That's enough.
Gun, holster, 3 magazines for IDPA, 4 or 5 for USPSA, mag carrier, eye and ear protection, concealment garment for IDPA. Ammo. Good attitude.

Very cool. I only have the 2 mags that came with the XDm, but I can at least pick up one more at some point. I'll hopefully get more for Christmas or something. Sounds like IPSC can get a little expensive, what with running through all that ammo. Gotta try to save a little to get a house!

There is the regular, monthly IDPA match scheduled for this Saturday, at Ripon, but, I'm guessing that none of the clubs will run a classifier until spring.

Classifiers do not require concealment, I would imagine concealed at a match, on a range is OK. Just do not go from the range concealed.

OH? Did I say move?
