On the firearm purchase form 4473, will the background check bring up expunged/sealed juvenile records? I have read where some people with felony charges as juveniles have passed while misdemenor juveniles have failed...

Do you have to mark that you were ajudicated a juvenile if it has been sealed or expunged?

Ugh...legal mumbo jumbo :banghead:

Most of the time, expunged/sealed records are visible to the government.

No. See form 4473 instructions.

I would call the BATF. Go to the source for an answer. No sense in possibly completing the form incorrectly and being denied for something you believed would not show up in the NICs check. I would document the call as to time and date and who you spoke to just in case they provide information that might prove false.

Your answer is found on page 4 of the Form 4473 (Instructions):
http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-4473.pdf

See Exceptions to 11.c. and 11.i. (left side at the bottom)

Well....the source is the Form 4473 itself. Sadly, few people (FFL's included) bother to read the instructions that make up 3 1/2 of the 6 pages in that form.
Verbal advice from the ATF (or any gov agency) is worth the paper it is printed on. RARELY will ATF even give you an opinion or interpretation over the phone, instead they will direct you to the appropriate law or regulation (as they should).

Calling ATF will be a complete waste of time. Just read the instructions for question 11 on the actual form 4473.

It sounds almost as if you did something as a juvenile that you are not proud of and you believe that it may come back to haunt you. That is understandable, we all were young once and made varying degrees of mistakes. I would either give BATFE a call or if you can afford it have an attorney call on your behalf. The attorney must keep communications with his client confidential provided there is no third party in the room and will look after your interest in the best legal means possible. A $150 fee now can certainly beat a $150,000 fee later. Good luck and hope it works out.

Asked and answered. I'm going to pre-emtively close this one before it veers off into too much private information being demanded/given.
