where have you seen the best price on 7.62x54r. getting an m44 and want to shoot it on the cheap

I've found some pretty good deals at my local shops near me. You might try checking them before going online. Shipping and the hazmat charge can eat up any savings pretty quickly.

There is a truck dealer someware in south FL giving away a $400.00 voucher for an ak47 with every new truck, been all over local news the past few days.

Yeah no haz mat on small arms ammo, just an adult signature. Weight as far as shipping is the big cost savings killer. You are about 5 years too late for the real good deals. I was getting 330 RD sealed cans of brass cased FMJ for a steal---6 cans for what you now pay for one 440 RD can. I am still shooting off the ammo I got then. The bonus is the cans were made of real tin. I would cut them up and use the pieces to alloy my lead with to get #2 bullet casting lead. Now they come in steel cans and have steel casings. No brass to recycle now either.

Yeah, last time I bought 7.62x54R, I got an 880-round crate cheaper, shipped, than you can buy a 440-round tin before shipping now. The stuff has gone waaay up.

At those prices I'd rather just reload, so I sold off my Russians Mosins and I'm planning on a Finn...
