Hodgdon HP-38 could be used to load all of those. I have used it in the past on 9mm, .40s&w and .45acp with good results.

Good luck

My setup is:
Unique: .357, .45 ACP, and hot luger
HP-38: 9mm gen purpose and plinking loads, .45 plinking loads, softball .38 wadcutters. (I wouldn't recommend this for .357 or .40)
Auto Comp: all .40 loads, hot .45, and plan to use for 9mm mak and .380.

I don't shoot 10mm. But if you wanted just one powder, Unique can do all those other calibers pretty well.

Tell us about your .357 mag and 10mm needs. HP-38/W231 will work well for the others, as would AA#5 with the exception of maybe 38spl.
You can load all with one powder, but that reminds me of a fly/spin cast rod I once had, it did both poorly.

If I had a choice of only two powders. It would be Unique, for 9, 38, 40, 45. Although, 231/HP-38 are great powders and meter better... Unique, is arguably more versatile. and 2400 357 mag loads.

I don't load 38/357 but in dropping to only 2 powders I chose Power Pistol and Unique. I like Unique for softer loadings and Power Pistol for heavy 10mm loads. I know there are probably newer/better powders and I tried several others these are the 2 that I had the best luck with.

AA #5 & #9

Unique & 2400

N340 & N110

True Blue & Enforcer

W-231 & W-296

Universal & H-110

In no particular order, and I left out good ones. Lots of options.

In my mind, for those calibers, you need three, or four if you want to make light loads as well.

.......I agree with Walkalong. With any one of the calibers you list, two powders would be fine, but throwing 'em althogether, you are grasping a bit to get all around performance from just two. Trying to get true magnum velocities in the .357 really throws a wrench in the works. Using three powders my choices would be Unique, HP38/W231 and H110/W296.

9mm/45acp/40/10mm HP-38

9mm/40s&w/45acp/10mm I've been trying AutoComp with really good success in 45. Haven't found the right combo in 9mm yet (its been really cold out to test more)

38/357 Universal

Depending on your choise of bullets. I get by with the following, in order of preference.

Win 231
Unique
Bullseye
Win 296
AA #9

I also have a little bit of 2400 that is left over from my carbine days.

If I had to go down to two only? I would look at Win 231 & Unique. That would cover all of the calibers up into the Magnum range (limited to the Unique for Mag loading) and give you flexabilty through out the caliber range for bullet weight and composition (cast lead and jacked bullets). You could buy in bulk and save a bit on the powder, but I would still consider having a pound or two of somting around just for the higher velocity loads.

YMMV

i,m new 2 reloading so bear with me i,m loading 9mm-40s&w-45acp-10mm-38/357 what would b 2 good powders four them thanks
If you're looking for 2 powders I would suggest using W231/HP-38 for the 9mm, 45 Auto and .38 Special For loading your 10mm, 40 S&W and .357 Magnum ammo give Longshot a try. You might like W231 better for the 40 S&W depending on what bullet you're using and what velocities your trying to achieve.

Your message is a little hard to read I'm guessing because I'm an old man and used to seeing whole words. Welcome to the forum...

Between Unique and Hodgdon Clays I can reload every pistol calibre I use from .32ACP to .45 Colt.

For me the optimum for 9mm is Power Pistol, the optimum for 40 and 10mm is 800X, and the optimum for 38 sp / 357 mag is H110.

They all will do fine with Unique, Bullseye, 3N37, AA#2, AA#5, .. or many other pistol powders.

To do all those different rounds with one or two powders I would say Tightgroup and or Unique.

I do all the same calibers you listed, and I only use 2. Unique and TiteGroup. I generally find they work great for everything I shoot. Both Unique and Titegroup are decently priced as well.

Unique or 700x. Out of your list, all I load for is 38s and 45acp. And I use both powders.
If your lookin for load data , buy a load book.
